These are the best pens I have ever used!!!

When I was a kid my handwriting was atrocious. My dad decided to buy me a nice Lamy pen so I would like writing more. I have never switched to another fountain pen!

20 bucks is not bad at all. When I was a kid ink pens were popular and good ones, especially with with stainless steel nib could easily cost more. An ink pen was an investment which could be in a daily use and one that lasted a lifetime or until you could afford something better. Most people opted for disposable capsules for convenience and ease, and ink bottles and wells became harder to find... My mother's generation used still ink wells, and my desk still had a ink bottle holder. It was frustratingly too shallow to use as a pencil pot - the desks were ergonomic slanting ones, but they were good at holding erasers and hiding small trinkets - until a teacher walked by.

I never knew why ppl like fountain pens....until i saw a friend use them. Then one day I decided to order one from Jetpens. Now I love them but I barely use them lmao. I have a rollerball Lamy pen and i havent used that one as much either. Then i got a Twisbi Eco and i havent been using it either.....im crazy lmao

After trying ballpoint pens, my ink pens retired.

It's a bit of an American way to see things. In Germany we had the Pelikan and the Geha fountain pen. Both with windows for control of the filling, metal lid with metal clip, interchangeable nib in stainless steel. Of course ink cartridges. And this at least from 1976 on. It is good, that Lamy came with the third brand, but they were not the first.

I got myself a Lamy Safari after seeing this short and I can see the appeal! 😊 The pen’s very lightweight and the writing feels so smooth I can write for hours. It also distributes enough ink that it dries quickly and makes it less likely to smudge.

Amazing pen's I have two and just can't go wrong with it. its so resilient that even after a month of no use, when you use it it writes without any hicups.

Ugly beasts. I was bored of them after short time when I go one at 13y or so. But they were a huge success, here in Germany. Also well designed and ergonomic. But ... cheap, ugly beasts in terrible colors.
