Currently restoring a Boston whaler , with no knowledge other than what you’ve taught me 😎

ОтветитьYeaaaa Buddyy.. Still Waiting for my helmet to Arrive.. 🎉😂😂
ОтветитьGreat excursion! Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьI think you could get a better and more efficient speed and mpgs with different props. I have a 115 yamaha and I definitely get better mpgs 3 - 4 mpgs with 30 mph cruising speeds and 40 top speed. Have you looked at piranha props?
ОтветитьSad to see the MacGregor go, it made a nice camper with skiff-like handling. At least it went to a good cause and the catamaran should be interesting. All the boat channels are getting catamarans now. I bet yours is different.
ОтветитьHow did the stability change?
ОтветитьI love watching your show live is good.
ОтветитьLove it!
Ответить🌴 hey bud, so the sail boat project was a way cool build , I guess maybe that you actually could camp in it , and then the up grades , solar 👍🏼, i would think a 50 horse would have maybe been a good option as it would of been more economical ,and still had some push, if I was a bit younger I’d probably be doing what your doing, but I’m still working on my nano skiff project trying to get the floor glassed ( freak’n rain ) , I’m a fly fishing guy and seeing you in areas with bonefish, permit, and other things that could be dinner makes me wonder what’s lurking out there , we never see ya fishing ? I’m always waiting to see what ya come up with next , keep the builds and adventures coming !
ОтветитьLove this stuff. I just subscribe and Bing watched a bunch of your old stuff couple days ago
ОтветитьCatamarans just are not safe in large waves and high winds. Great videos. Stay safe and take care.

ОтветитьYou are the man, man! As someone who works in the boat building industry and has a couple boats myself you are inspiring me to make my first Bahamas trip. I hope to run into you someday although I live in Tampa.
ОтветитьMan I would to have a boat like this to go camp out in the reef here in miami
ОтветитьThe Johnson V4 90/115 is 1.8 litres.
They are notoriously fuel hungry over 3500rpm. At WOT it’s like pouring fuel away. 😂
They call it "pre mix" because you put the oil in, and then put the gas in so you don't have to shake it any
ОтветитьA great boat and a great conversion!!!
ОтветитьI know it's a re-upload but he never really showed a full build of this boat and it's the one I would love to see
ОтветитьNo spear guns? Commies
ОтветитьDo you ever get stopped by cops or Coast Guard when crossing?
ОтветитьWhat type of sailboat & length & draft did you use for this project? 🤗⛵
Ответить😀👍
ОтветитьI would buy a T-shirt and a UV long sleeve.
ОтветитьWhat are the cruise ships worried you’ll wake them?😆
Ответить🦾
ОтветитьNeeds a 90 four stroke. Those old v4 2 strokes piss through fuel.
ОтветитьI would like to see a boat build between this size and the size of a panga but styled to be like the surf charter boats( the boats in Hawaii that take the surfers beyond the break). Closed in front, wide open back deck with a fiberglass roof over the whole thing.
ОтветитьSo glad I found your videos. Thanks for sharing with all of us!
ОтветитьIts not a sailboat unless it has sails. And Im only half joking about that, because the real spectacle with that boat occurs when you see the mast go screaming across the horizon and blow people's minds. Without the mast it looks like a funky powerboat.
Ответитьyour videos make me dream and scheme:hmmm - could I run a skiff from Massachusetts to the Bahamas??? Thank you!
ОтветитьI love your videos It reminds me of me when I was young. Now at my 70s still “inventing” with micro skiff, canoes and kayaks
ОтветитьAwesome videos just binge watched a bunch of them really enjoy your skill set especially love what you’re doing for the people in the Bahamas. Keep up the great work.❤
ОтветитьQuestion
What song are you using? i LOVE the music!
Appreciate the channel, Im starting to do river trips now preparing for the great loop and building a 20 foot trawler to do it in. I glean all sorts of bit from watching your content! LOVE IT!
This looks like a total blast!
Ответитьgo forrest
ОтветитьI just picked up my first boat; a 1994 MacGregor 26S. Starting my sailing experience this summer and never thought I'd see something like this on your channel! Fantastic adventure, man!
ОтветитьShow the people that you have gills. Lol
ОтветитьDo you think a big foot 60hp motor would work on a mcgregor vs the 115?
ОтветитьFlorida man deluxe
ОтветитьCool video. Have you considered buying or building a 25' - 28' sailing trimaran with a single centerline, removable daggerboard for exploring? The minimal weight and removable daggerboard would mean an ultra shallow draught to get into canals, reefs, and estuaries. A sailing trimaran would give you a nice quiet, fast, and free ocean crossing. With with a raiseable outboard with a four blade prop for low wind conditions and for exploring the shallows. There is a YT video of a solo crossing from Newport Beach, CA to Hawaii in a self-built 25 ft plywood trimaran called 'Sailing to Hawaii Singlehanded on a Small Trimaran Between Two Hurricanes'
ОтветитьThey call it pre-mix because old school guys would disconnect the oil injection pump and run "pre-mix" with the oil in the fuel.
ОтветитьIs this chronologically after your previous video? Living the dream cruising back and forth right? Thanks for sharing!
Ответитьwhat is the story on the catamaran?
ОтветитьMike from Australia mate love you videos and you're a nice bloke
ОтветитьHey fyi they make aquarium epoxy for coral that comes in the exact same tube and everything but it is 1/4 the price
ОтветитьThe Skiff Master ! 🤙🤙
ОтветитьI am glad I'm not the only beach comber random boat part hoarder. (edited as I watched the rest of the video). I've enjoyed watching the I-don't-know how many of your videos I've watched over the past three days (basically bingeing on your channel to catch up). I came for the how-to and build content, but have the feeling that I'm going to like the actual expedition content most.
My wife would have killed me - but before I got to the last 15 minutes, I was ready to ask you if I could buy that crazy "baby motor yacht skiff" so I could make the run to the Bahamas or run the full FL intracoastal and have a place to sleep/eat + a head
