Chimo Darren! Awesome tie, I agree, it's not much different than the original to warrant calling it a variant. It's like a spruced up Silver Hilton. The V wings make sense, do you tie like that often?
So how are you weathering the "plague"? Panic buying, rationing essentials, cancellations, etc here. Stay safe and healthy buddy, wish you and yours well. Hey, today is Friday the 13th, merd'e sur treize, (good luck ;o) lol, my older cousin taught me that phrase when I was a kid... good name for a fly, eh? Cheers.

I’ve been tying a lot of flies on eye up salmon hooks, glad to see another pattern I can copy!

Nice fly and thanks for the original link. Only issue I see with this fly is getting the wings to sit correctly. I know practice, practice, practice, lol. Good to see all is safe and sound. We are all set to wait it for a few months. Luckily for us we are usually stocked well for supplies , specially during the winter months due the constant threat of getting snowed in, lol. Cheers!!
