I wouldn't even go if I were Ukraine. Waste of time.
ОтветитьMy completely appropriate comment about how the Kremlin can only push for capitulation at this point was removed.
ОтветитьProbably the first time in history in which a “special military operation” requires peace talks in order to end… No surprise they’re locking people up for calling it a war, it’d be a downgrade…
ОтветитьOne thing weve learned, you cant trust anything russia is saying, we keep falling for it.
ОтветитьPutin's words cannot be trusted considering his past shenanigans.
ОтветитьI fear Putin believes that his only way out of the hole he's dug for himself is to keep digging.
ОтветитьPooh-tin’s bluff will be called out eventually!! He’s taken this too far.
Ответить🤞🤞🤞
ОтветитьThanks as always for a thoughtful presentation. I confess I wasn't aware that Shakespeare may have come across Euripides' work. Could I be cheeky and ask you for source material for that, please? Thanks
ОтветитьOf course Russia is not going to agree to a ceasefire, why would they given they are winning, giving the US time to reorganise and rearm their proxy is not the smart thing to do. They are going through the motions of appeasing the US but that's all. Eventually someone in Ukraine is going to stop Zelensky before there are no Ukranian men left.
ОтветитьNever believe anything Putin or his gang says.
ОтветитьEuropean Realist here. "3.54. What is Moscow really doing?" With gradual advances on the Eastern front, and 67,000 fresh troops massed on the Ukrainian border for an attack on Sumy , despite the odds, and all the (western) propaganda that constantly assures us that Russia is on its knees, it looks very much as if Russia is WINNING! To quote Richard II, on the death of John o'Gaunt, the King says, about a planned visit to his stricken uncle 'Pray make haste... but hope to come too late." For Richard II read Europe. If Russia wins, Europe will 'wring its hands' and say "If only we had done something earlier...."
ОтветитьI see even Musk has left him, Billy no mates Trump!
ОтветитьTick, tick, tick...
ОтветитьIf he keeps putting Tarrifs on countries they will go elsewhere, is he that stupid?
ОтветитьI am a relative newbie to Tim's channel but I have heard a number of references to Smeg fridges. Can somebody please explain the story behind it?
ОтветитьRuzzia doesn't need or want a ceasefire.
ОтветитьHas Ukraine decided on whether it is going to Istanbul, yet?
My friend Sergei is curious.
He wonders how serious people are if they cannot decide whether to send a delegation or not.
Nothing will stop Putin other than an assertive firm hand. He will keep on asking for unreasonable terms and needs to be stopped. And unconditional ceasefire is the only way forward. Or the US should impose heavy sanctions.
ОтветитьNo, they don't want to end the war. Its all theatre, but not comedy.
ОтветитьMy fav about comedy meeting defeat. Maybe legendary, maybe not, either way illustrative.Battle of Sluys 1340 (if you do not know look it up on wiki). The French King (Phillip IV) was told by his jester that although the English won they were cowardly as they did not not jump into the sea like the French did.
ОтветитьSeems like people around the world are getting tired of Putin and Netanyahu at the same time. What moral force is at work?
ОтветитьI prefer,💩tin spelled this way . I to think the great bear has witherd to a cub . SLAVA UKRAINI 💙💛💙💛💙💛💙💛. Thanks PROFESSOR
ОтветитьPutin has no intention of looking for a cease fire and Israel is deliberately targeting children. Both scenarios have been obvious from the start but commentators and politicians seem unable to state the blindingly obvious.
ОтветитьYou know something? there are two wars running parallel. In one case the instigator is totally to blame, in the other the instigator is without blame Hypocrisy reigns supreme.
ОтветитьSome experts now believe that Putin can't stop the war even if he wants to. They think he fears a sudden end would throw Russia into chaos and maybe result in the country disintegrating.
That said, if Putin is playing for time in the hope that the west will sooner or later lose interest or become exhausted he is gravely mistaken. The announcements among western European governments and the increases in their defence spending tell a different story, Western Europe is only just warming up.
Russia does NOT want & never has wanted a ceasefire. It's only the West's propaganda that talks of a ceasefire.
Either the losers agree to terms or this time Odessa will be added to the booty.
a but. . . .you can drive a tank through. wonderful
ОтветитьBack in the U S S R god saves the queen 😊
ОтветитьLike Uncle Fester reading the riot act. Rusky comedy at its worst.
ОтветитьThanks 👍
Ответить"The Devil cannot bear to be mocked": St. Sir Thomas More. Or maybe Martin Luther, offhand I can't remember which one said it. But it is certainly true.
ОтветитьRussia wants the upper hand, the advantage, Putin has failed in his 3 day special operation and Ukraine has more allies and more resources. Russia wants victory while their banks are collapsing.
Ukraine has all the cards
Surely, national service and conscription in Britain in WWII was a form of coercion, too?
{:o:O:}
Think Russia now is living in the most dangerous time in its history,,,,,partisans spies underground movement can now destroy their nuclear silo's their nuclear establishments do the russians really honestly understand that all of Russia is gambling their whole existence all over russia their is in place spies partisans underground network slowly blowing up their foundations Russia should never no never have started this war they will pay for it with their very existence.?
ОтветитьI wonder if the knobs visit the front line and try Baldrick's coffee ?
ОтветитьYou use words only ex alcoholics use.
ОтветитьThis war is definitely not a comedy its a tragedy that will go down in history
ОтветитьPUTIN requesting no NATO in UKRAINE in Russian and English; year after year. WW3?
ОтветитьPutin is not a Ninja Turtle perhaps?!
ОтветитьTrump will fall for it all over again. Guaranteed. The rest of us must back Ukraine and the heroic Zelensky. The man has unbelievable stamina. His fortitude is founded on being in the RIGHT.
ОтветитьAn excellent podcast once again. It has been said before, but it was beautifully put with a subtle brilliance in the use of our language. I learn a new word or two almost every time.
The main thing, though, is you put the war and russians in perspective. The reality is stark and evil flourishes in the Kremlin. That effort at the UN was dispicable. I pray trump understands the reality this time around, but I doubt it.
The simple answer is no. Whether Trump and the two stooges Witkoff and Rubio realize that should be the question.
ОтветитьOf course, Russia does nor want peace, it wants all of Ukraine. Slava Ukraini!
ОтветитьVasily Nebenzya has stated unequivocally that nothing—neither secondary sanctions nor the continued delivery of weapons—will help Ukraine. He asserted that Ukraine’s defeat on the battlefield is inevitable, and that Russia will crush Ukrainian resistance regardless of international intervention.
Russia’s forthcoming memorandum, expected at the eleventh hour, will likely declare that it rejects a ceasefire not out of strategic necessity, but because it considers international observation humiliating. The document will almost certainly reaffirm the Russian Federation’s core demand: that Ukraine must be demilitarized—or face total devastation as the war continues.
In immediate response, the United States and the European Union are expected to take two decisive actions:
1. All oil tankers carrying Russian crude will be designated as military targets.
2. $300 billion in frozen Russian assets will be officially allocated to Ukraine, effective June 4.
Classical, Professor. Cracks don't always lead to disintegration. Assad hung on in power. Predictions of collapse are perhaps premature. By the way, if there were icicles in my Smeg, I would turn the power down.
Ответить😃😃😃
ОтветитьIs there any truth to the story that Kadirov is planning for him and his family to resettle in Dubai? That would mean a first rat leaving a sinking ship.
ОтветитьThere's crack in your.pipe.
ОтветитьIts a funny old world we live in!Even funnier if its yours.
