I love how the average Joe doesn't know who John Hiatt is but folks like BB, Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, and Buddy Guy, just to name a few, all cover his tunes. All of the covers by the greats never seem to touch the original versions though. Hiatt has that certain "it" factor that musicians love but the general public doesn't seem to recognize. That intro through headphones just melts my soul.

I can't hear it on here but on the recording of this that I have, you can hear him tapping his foot during the intro. It sorta puts you right in the room.
