It will be done eventually given the improvements in tracks, shoes and training but seems more likely to be a next generation runner than FK. The speed required suggests it is more likely to come from an 800/1500 runner than a 1500/5k one. There are not many yet running the sort of 800 times required, but they will come. Its just a matter of when. Lets hope it gets done legally.

She’d need to have Keely Hodgkinson’s top speed to stand a chance.

As much as I think this is impossible, it still excites me to see it!!!

Theres math to be done but when Eliud did this with Nike for breaking 2 it required a 1.75% improvement. For Faith to break 4 would require a 3.25% improvement. Thats just to put into context how hard this might be for her vs how hard it was for Eliud.

In other words, Nike came up with the perfect shoe for her, perfect track with responsive cushion material, optimize nutrition/ supplements, a few body composition changes 7.65 second is a huge hurdle, but yes, she is absolutely going to do this.

Will it be legit if they have male pacer pace the whole way? It seems impossible without male pacer as female pacer might only be able to pace 1000m at most(maybe 1200m if they have Gudaf TSEGAY, Jessica HULL as pacer)

Damn, 7 second PB sounds impossible but I guess that's the point. Can't wait to see it!
