Grant should have kept his opinion to himself, its not his life or business really AND the fact that this separated the BFF's before just goes to show that he should have kept quiet. Aside from being and ass without class it really STILL could have all been avoided. Cody KNEW how Christine felt and still invited him. Cody should not have exposed Christine to him knowing how she felt; IF NOT because he cared about her feelings, then at least knowing that a potential conflict could be avoided. HOWEVER, Christine is over the top considering how the average person would act. She would have bitched about it but she should have toned the anger back. She reacted with anger and as if she was going to be made vulnerable and was threatened. IT WAS UNREASONABLE RESPONSE, BUT it was completely reasonable for her given what her life was like before and the threats bigotry brought. IF she were healthier about her polygamous upbringing then she would have realized that the only threat there was really if CODY WANTED to follow his advice. Could your BFF convince you to divorce your spouse if you did not want to? She was unreasonable UNTIL you remember that the very religion, Apostolic United Brethren (Aub), they were ACTIVELY practicing as a family was BY DESIGN established by Christine's own GRANDFATHER, Rulon C. Allred, during a time when people were killed, beaten, run out town, jailed, harrassed, etc. Given the isolated life she led and the fears that came to be proven as bonafide to Christine she actually kept her cool pretty great! So what could have been different? Multiple spouses or not.. if you are taking a family vacation and EITHER spouse does not want a friend to tag along the friend should not go.. it wasn't Grant that disrespected Christine because truly he never said a word about her. It was CODY who failed Christine.. he could have just taken him out hunting or shooting skeet or play tennis or anything else without the wives in order to pay back all the times Grant took him out on his boat.
