I can't wait for this to hit the public! I just saw the first 4 minutes but that was telling enough that the team from Crosscode is working on this.
Crosscode's interactive combat, movement and puzzle systems were always so fun to play around with, I can't wait to see how they reiterate on that in this new game.
i was kinda hoping for a crosscode sequel that allows the player to chose one of the 5 classes and explore even more dungeons, but i'n not dissapointed in the least this looks AWESOME
ОтветитьThis looks really cool. Still has the CrossCode vibes but at the same time it has its own visual identity. Certainly a game to be looking forward to.
ОтветитьSo excited
ОтветитьOne of the best things about CrossCode (for me at least) was the stellar soundtrack and the superb vibes. I can hardly wait to see what kind of atmosphere this game delivers!
ОтветитьI just love that the community Discord server bullied the devs into adding a capybara right off the bat.
Ответитьholy shit has it really been 2 years
ОтветитьYou two had stellar voice acting. I honestly never envisioned a capybara having an dignified, erudite accent, but now I can't imagine them speaking in any other way!
(Yes, I know I've commented quite a bit; I'll knock it off now). 😅
Thank you guys for playing and showing this off, I love Puella's enthusiasm as always and the voices were great!
ОтветитьI notice how some sound effects are still clearly placeholder crosscode sound effects, like the guard and perfect guard/parry sound effects. Those two are ripped straight from crosscode.
I also notice how a lot of systems are built off the framework they developed during crosscode as well like dialog and those small blurbs in the bottom left, even breaking seems to be a thing with certain enemies. Really excited to play what is essentially a modified crosscode with a new and interesting story, enemies, puzzles, etc
One thing I liked about CrossCode's story is that it avoided so many tired JRPG tropes. Lea is not the chosen one to defeat The Great Evil and save the universe. It's a personal story in a unique setting for the genre. This here looks more generic.
ОтветитьYou just showed me what will become my most anticipated game release. Fuck.
ОтветитьEverything in this demo looks incredible!
ОтветитьCrossCode was such a great game. I kinda forgot they were working on another project. Now that I'm reminded, I have something to look forward to.
ОтветитьBeautyfull!!!
Ответитьi love ragnarok, the aesthetic view, the sprite, i like this 2d like 3rd person view. i love this
ОтветитьAs someone who has searched for "Games similar to Crosscode" far too many times, I'm so excited for this.
ОтветитьIs the demo publicly available to play?
ОтветитьThe art style is amazing! I don't think I've ever seen anybody else capture the look of 2D pixel art in 3D so well.
ОтветитьHaving only just come across Crosscode very recently and loving ever minute of it (well, some minutes were more frustrating than others, admittedly, but 118 hours in 2 months was quite the binge), I'm loving the look of this game and I'm happy to see the developers taking their engine to the next level.
This looks incredible and this time I won't miss out for so many years.
For some reason the voice for the capybara fits perfectly. >.<
ОтветитьGood demo! Very excited for the game! Though woman commenting was a bit annoying with all unnecessary squeals and vile screams :( I have to turn sound level as low as possible
ОтветитьNier Automata in crosscode graphics i guess?
ОтветитьMega ❤
ОтветитьDo not know when to release, should be a masterpiece! Can't wait!
ОтветитьYep. This also already gives me Terranigma vibes with those themes of corruption and renewal, which I know the CC level up animation was already inspired from. A game that most of the people in the US never had the pleasure of experiencing.
Attaching sprites to rigged 3D models to let them morph is clever. I've seen some other games use post processing filters to emulate a pixelation effect in 3D games but I don't think that can really emulate this specific 16 bit era art style.
I just fear this will commercially flop like CrossCode. It's such a good game but no one actually knows about it.
Kommt es nur mir so vor oder wirkt das ein bisschen wie ein App store game. Von den Effekten her auf jedenfall eine Verschlechterung zu Cross Code.
ОтветитьThis game looks so amazing already, I can't believe it's only barely a demo! That sword looks so incredibly satisfying to swing, I can hardly wait until I get a chance to try it out for myself
Ответитьomg it's you guys! Been so long since I saw a vid of yours! Hope you guys have been doing well!
ОтветитьDo we have a release date?
Ответитьbro you’re the guy that helped me do my entire crosscode play through like 4 years ago😂😂 I’m so happy they’re making a new game again.
ОтветитьI have been gaming relentlessly for over 35 years as an '84 model. I've been particularly obsessed with this ginormous and ever-evolving game genre: RPGs.
I was introduced to the genre very young, probably 3-4 yrs old. My older cousins taught me RPGs' purest form... Dungeons & Dragons. Cut to me developing a life defining interest in party based rpg adventures beyond the character sheets and onto NES>SNES/SEGA>PS1 etc.. you get it. Later on, when Diablo came out, it was a real game changer. When D2 came out I fell fully into the hardcore online gaming scene. Still playing it today. Now... with all that being said in 2015-16 I felt something was becoming more and more absent in the gaming world. Until I discovered an early access game on Steam early access. With the all the thousands of hours I've put into RPG games through the decades, Cross Code has been one of the most impactful. It showed up right after losing my childhood best friend when I thought I'd never see the golden era of 16bit rpgs was but a fleeting morsel of sorely missed nostalgia. Thank you for making this game especially during a time when it seemed like the big league game companies were herding us and their reluctant devs into a f.u.b.a.r. era of launching unfinished games as often as possible under shortened dev cycles while, on top of all that, money hungry publishers and investors were slathering everything in micro-transactions. These P2W "game designers" shamelessly target kids as potential future gambling addicts. A sickening amount of r&d went to engineering and integrating new game interface designs that incorporate the constant allure of gambling while figuring out how to legally marketing it to kids under the guise of "Giving 12yr old Billy a chance to win his seat at the top of the server (and inter-social) rankings." As a member of a dwindling, old, and greying gamer community, thank you guys for having the passion to continue on with a sequel to an epic masterpiece. And thank you for restoring some integrity in a domain of corporate mass fuckery.
Hey, thanks for showing this off! I missed this video when it was published, but I always enjoy you and Puella's commentary and insights. Looking forward to this game and seeing the solid foundation laid out here is reassuring.
Ответитьit's me? or her voice is perfect for the character? XD
ОтветитьCan't wait till Lachsen decides to come back to Velsarbor and handles it with custom assets, an updated story, while re-taking from what he's learned in the last 15 years. Velsarbor will always be that one hole in people's hearts who've been following RPG Making. It's the one big move, accomplishing your teenage/child/ young adult project years later and making it a success. Don't want to exaggerate, but to me it would be like a kid saying they will be an astronaut when they grow up, and then following through with the idea. I think Lachsen should consider.
Ответитьwhy the lady so good at voice acting oh my god
ОтветитьThat woman is annoying
ОтветитьI love the look of the game, the landscape and area looks like how the world in Golden Sun and Golden Sun: Lost Age , and some of the weapons remind me of some of the weapons Link uses in the older The Legend Of Zelda game, like the Boomrang which collected things as how the Chakram which looks like some of the weapons that Colette from Tales Of Symphonia uses.
ОтветитьI had a super detailed comment written up to share my thoughts on this old video after playing the demo on this year's Gamescom, but accidentally clicked on the "next vid" button next to the mute button mid-way through. So you know what? The tl;dr version being: The combat is pretty fun still, I was surprised this year's demo got stripped so hard as Kamu Village and everything after it wasn't part of the demo, I don't like that so many soulslike features are now introduced into the overworld exploration, as it either makes no sense having them or makes exploring annoying, and that criticism against the overworld of Crosscode was apparently big enough for them to make this change, given Radical Fish didn't just want to experiment for a bit.
Ответитьstill uploading for 10 years is serious dedication
Ответитьthis duo great
