I think the wolf Dovii has the crown on aggressive cichlids.

Do you remove the babies once they are out? I have about 8 mbuma (yellow labs) only yellow labs and 2 of them are about to release them.

The black nasty is a quick grower. I love finding rare finds, like your argentea. Hopefully, the mota becomes less camera shy in the future. Great updates, Alec. Mbunas are very active!

⚠️ Watch that RTM 😂 mine is around 4 inches (female) slaughtered 11 2 1/2 inch Buenos Aires tetras in 7 days disappeared 1 by one. Then decided to match the aggression by dividing the tank and adding a 4inch jaguar.
Only to wake and find she’d jumped the divider and eaten his whole body minus the head! 😅.
Oh and to top it off she moved the head around the tank like a trophy.

I added a red tiger to my cichlid tank, it did awesome! Killed all of the other fish, but the red tiger did great.

Please get a jaguar cichlid, or a midas (Creamsicle is my favorite color variation)

Would 17 african cichlids be too much to add to a new 75 gallon tank? I have about 200 gallons of filtration running it. All will be males, the same size and different types.

I want a pair of Haitiensis so bad. None of my local shops ever have anything "cool" like that. You might find the typical Oscar, Red Devil, and maybe Jaguar. You might be able to decipher a "Red Devil" and score a Midas instead. I have a male Red Tiger Mota that I've named Chael, after the undefeated American Gangster... the biggest arms of West Lynn. I've had him since October of 2018, so he's over 6 years old now. ld really love to be able to get him a mate, just like on your thumbnail, and dare I say it, yours you've named Nelson. Nelson is a female.

Nice looking Vieja. This weekend I picked up an argentea, jaguar, red devil, trimac, and umbee. All in my 125 and about 2” currently. The RTM and BN are hard ones to find. I gave up on trying to find them. You have good connections.

Dovie cichlids is fist aggressive fish

I’ve had both of the black nasty and the Tetracanthus and they’re both beautiful fish. IMO, the Dovii take the cake as the most aggressive Cichlid. They are known as an ambush predator and get huge. I’ve seen in a friends tank that he had that measured 26” when he passed away after 14yrs. Nice tour of your tanks. 🙌

I only keep chichlids . I love the colour , behaviour, aggression everything . Wolf, jaguar,texas,oscar,peacock bass ,salvini,pollini,veija,electric blue jack Dempsey i have❤
