Ah not going to be in the country

I seriously need to join a readathon but the problem is, every time I plan to join one, work or my laziness will hinder me to read. 😅 What I need is motivation and free time tbh.

I've been able to fit three books into almost all of the challenges, not including the book-to-movie adaptation. not sure if I'll do that one, but if I do it might be crazy rich asians. the three books I've chosen are wicked fox, the astonishing color of after, and the soul of an octopus, all of which have purple covers lol

I'm so excited for The Reading Rush. I just need to figure out what I want to read for non-human main character and then I'm set to go! I'm seeing Wicked Fox all over the place and I definitely want to give that a try eventually.

I posted my TBR a little over a week ago, and most of my books are pretty serious books... which I’m honestly a little nervous about, but I’m still hopeful. I’ve just got A LOT of thrillers!

Wicked Fox definitely counts as having a non-human main character. Miyoung, one of the main characters, is a gumiho, or a Korean mythological figure also known as a nine-tailed fox.

Just finished the audiobooks for the whole Harry Potter Series and am sad it’s over. Just posted my Tbr on my channel for the Reading Rush. So excited to be doing it this year!!!

The Harry Potter book is very purple and so it fits perfectly. Muse of Nighmares is also a perfect pick.

Wicked Fox should count as a non-human character. The girl is a gumiho, like the Korean version of a kitsune, or nine-tailed fox spirit, making her non-human. She would be considered (using the Japanese terms that I know) a kami (spirit) or yokai (demon) at absolute most.

I did the same thing with Muse Of Nightmares I started it as soon as it came out last year and got 8 chapters in a set it aside for some reason and finally finished it in April an it was one of my favorite books of the year! I highly suggest the audiobooks Steve West is my favorite narrator!
