Very nice

Very well written and something a cellist might do well to play. But I think the piece does lose a little focus in the middle - it seems to have nowhere to go, which is a common enough problem with non-tonal pieces. I thought the opening and closing measures were impressively composed. Thank you, as ever, for allowing us to hear this piece.

Interesting. I enjoyed the piece. Very suspenseful at the beginning curious is Shades has a story to tell in the piece. The beginning had was big with different cycles/shades it returned to. The middle till the 3rd half felt lost or disconnected from the beginning. I loved the ending. Single notes played that were different but connected to the beginning. Never ending in a resolution but feeling like a calling/longing to return to what once was. Really sweet.

(My own opinion, with no high experience in music theory) I enjoyed the ride.
