Jaleel White Says Playing Urkel During Puberty Damaged His Voice

Turns out, he did do that… to his vocal chords.

His normal voice still sounds nice honestly.

This happened to a lot of child and TV actors his only problem was he played Urkel too good .

His voice never really got deep he still sounds like a teenager

His goal for doing his first episode was to get a SEGA Genesis so he could play Sonic. Little did he know he’d eventually become the voice of Sonic on the cartoons.

Hard to believe that damaged his voice. It was dumb to make him talk like that to begin with. Nobody in real life talks that high-pitched. What's worse is that his voice got even higher as he got older on the show. Totally not real. He was plenty nerdy, didn't need that high voice to go along with it.

Now Urkel has his own game show called Flip Side!
