'Régler' means "to settle". It's more formal than 'payer'. You can also say, "je vous dois combien" in order to sound less formal and more local!

Please, don't say "don't say" in your videos. Some say "don't say" instead of "if you want to sound more formal or speak advanced X language" while others mean "if you want to sound more informal or speak X language cooler". But stop saying "don't say". In this vid payer is valid in any register, be that formal or informal.
