Quite the difference in speech and sound effect of the intro. Heart skipped a couple of beats

TY, sometimes that is all that is needed is a super fast video of how to do it vs a WAY to long video that leaves you with more questions.

Can you explain the Z Hop and Z Hop with retraction settings? I've never used those myself and don't understand them, or what I should have them set to, based on the descriptions in Cura. I've only been 3D printing for about 3 months, so still new to all this. I do have Octoprint set up and I've taken videos using the built-in timelapse feature, but only timed, not z change. And I'm just now trying to get Octolapse to work.

How do I change where the print head moves to take the shot before it continues printing? Right now it is front left corner which is where my camera is located. GREAT VIDEO!

Video is way to fast, slicer settings do not match descriptions in octolapse, I am using Cura , you move so fast on the cura settings page that there is no way to see where you are finding those settings, would have been nice to see where you are copying the settings from in cura slicer

After I did that camera portion by modified the text file, Octoprint no longer works. Followed exactly the steps you did. I get the 500 Error

Thank you for you video. The problem I met is when I switch off the octolapse, the printing goes fine. When I turn on octolapse the printer only print the first layer then the machine is working but nothing comes out of the extruder. Could you give a little help here? Anything I setup wrong?

***WARNING*** DO NOT use windows notepad to edit the octopi.txt file like shown in this video. It will break the file and render it pretty much useless... This is widely documented.... Instead use a text editor such as notepad ++ (there are others, but thats what I use) Mac OS, you guys are fine to use stock editor. Or you can just SSH into the octopi and use nano.... Run these commands to edit the text once you are logged in via SSH.... cd /boot (enter) sudo nano octopi.txt (enter) Make your edits then "ctrl s" "ctrl x" Finally run sudo reboot now

thank you for making this video, it is really helpful! I know it is old now, but sometimes the older videos are the goodies..

just an FYI.. i had python 3.10 installed and it caused problems with octolapse so I had to uninstall and then reinstall 3.9 and now life is good

You earned a new sub today :)

After following your quality change settings my camera becomes almost a little gray and grainy. Any reason for that?

Very helpful video. I'm wondering why you raised the framerate if your goal was simply to have higher resolution octolapse video. Octolapse video is made by splicing together a bunch of individual photos, so I would think the framerate of the camera would not matter for achieving better video. Higher framerate would just eat up more RAM/power and make the Pi run hotter - I'm not sure how significant it would be though.

I havn't printed anything yet, but if want to print without timelapse, how does that work? or you have to enable timelapse before every print?
