I've been struggling with anxiety, depression, and Bi Polar for a while now and my family struggles with giving me the space I need. When I say I need to stay home in order to not have a mental break down they insist that they know what's best for me and that I can't trust my own brain to know what's best for it. All I need right now is to spend my weekends alone, at home, reading. I don't need to leave the house to feel free and comforted. The real world is scary. It worsens my anxiety to the point that I have a nervous breakdown at least once a day before leaving the house, sometimes thrice: before, during, and after whatever I left the house for. I just want the freedom of authors that write what I relate to and escaping to the world of whatever book I'm reading. This song hits so close to home that it feels like a huge hug from my soulmate, and I don't even believe in that kinda stuff!
