How do they do against Japanese faster attach bonus?
ОтветитьWhat about against mass goats? You can never go wrong with a goat, the Pellar would tell you.
ОтветитьCould you do a Top 5 best longswords video?
Ответитьplease start a civ overview series for the new return of rome civs for aoe 2 players, appreciate all your highly informative videos
Ответитьat low elo, Elephants are really standing out, especially Khmer Ballista elephants, it will be good to see some videos on those.
ОтветитьIt's a premium Steppe Halberdier
ОтветитьIncas empire deserve it.
They were the most empire like civ in America, after all.
Fairly impressive results from the Kamayuks, but I wonder how does it compare with other ranged melee unique units, who possess even greater range?
ОтветитьCan you take a look at the new paper money tech for vietnam
ОтветитьWhere's the SotL intro?
ОтветитьLooks like the Incas found their new groove after the latest patch.
ОтветитьI mean I don't even play Aoe2 anymore
Ответитьkamayuk isn't by any way "OP" as you suggest, as castle only unit, they are harder to mass, and their advantage is only if they are massed. This also meakes them more vulnerable to area damage. As gold.intensive infantry which aren't fast,. they also can't choose engagements vs cavalry which also always gets to engage when and if it wants.
ОтветитьWHERE IS THE INTRO MUSIC
Ответитьthe kamayuk it's perfect if you wanna try to do the phalanx formation, you have the first line who receive the attack, and the second line is attacking at the same time
ОтветитьAlso they are insane if you patrol them on stand ground. Watch them melt any melee groups.
ОтветитьKamayuks vs camel is very plausible in a team game if you have a knight civ as a teammate.
ОтветитьI've always seen Inca units more as support mix units. Like you still mass crossbows but sprinkle some slingers.
You mix pikes and kamayuk. To me AoE2 is a mass 1 unit type and then add support cover units for your main mass. Well, Incas play more like AoM where your army composition has to be very balanced instead of mass and support armies from AoE2
Magyars also play like this Cav.archer mass with Huzzar support small army, sprinkle Paladins or Monks for counter to enemy Onager/Skirmishes with Paladin wings.
I think the 3rd expansion civs (green helmet civs) were designed like this. Italians and Slavs also need 3-4 unit types army compositions.
Indians might be the exception but everyone sees imperial camels with canoneers coming a mile away when someone plays Indians; so yes, they also seemed designed for balanced mixed armies use.

I would have loved to see how these pointy bois handle elephants and cataphracts. That splash damage has nothing against a +1 range advantage
ОтветитьUnlike many other unique units, the fast creation time also means that you really only need one castle to get a modestly sized force of Kamayuks.
ОтветитьSTEPPE LANCERS LOOK SIMILAR BUT HOW ABOUT MICROING YOU IN PATROL OBLIBERATION?!
ОтветитьLong sticked men
Ответить+1 is savage
ОтветитьRange = makes up for sucky AI +pathfinding ^^
ОтветитьI can't be the only one who wants to see how the range mechanism makes Stepp lancers stronger than just their stats
ОтветитьInstant subscribe for mentioning Lancchester's square law!
Ответить"Better" pathing does not make better gameplay.
ОтветитьI haven't seen a video on this yet, but if a unit gets converted, do they then adopt the civ bonuses of the new civ? For example if the Japanese converted a Kamayuk would the unit pick up extra attack speed?
Follow up video idea; which are the most powerful uses of that if they do pick up new bonuses?
What about mixing in a few Pikes/Halbs as cannonfoder? You would get maximum usage out of the range, if you had melee units in the front row they can attack over, right?
ОтветитьI wish you had also looked at using split stance against Kamayucks. If Paladins arrive from different directions, it could significantly reduce the Kamayuck's advantage due to less "hiding behind the lines.
Ответитьgood job ^^
ОтветитьI always find it a little funny how some of units are pretty much entirely made up. Kamayuks weren't spearmen, and if they did have a spear they weren't anything longer than the pikemen from Europe had.
The same goes for fabric shields... not sure how that is a benefit against arrows because historically it wasn't stopping a crossbow.
Are Kamayuks actually melee units with extended reach? I thought they just fired a 100% accurate invisible projectile and had a melee animation and melee attack class. I know just about everything from their animation to their attack type suggests they work as advertised, it just seems easier to program in a projectile to fake a melee attack with more range if you aren't already simulating a physics engine (a game like a first-person shooter with melee weapons might already have a collision detection system, so a longer reach just requires a different hitbox, AoE doesn't really simulate physics aside from projectiles).
ОтветитьI know that Tatars are from near a central Russian river area. I’ve been playing verses them. It’s slightly hard. Harder than it is verses the Slavs and Goths.
ОтветитьInstead of fixing the pathing, they are going to give every melee unit an extra range ;)
ОтветитьI feel like comparing Kamayuks to the militia line is wrong. They should be compared to things like throwing axeman because of their range
They are ranged infantry with a VERY short range. That means they benefit more from lancasters square law and less from lancasters linear law
one of my favorite unit!
ОтветитьWho has amazon warrior?
ОтветитьWtf is an Amazon warrior?
ОтветитьAmi me gustaría que hablarás el guerrero jaguar
ОтветитьI guess the question now is why do pykemen not get 1 range given they also hold a spear 😅
ОтветитьThe advice about the camel's getting shredded by Kamayuk's is important in team games. Keep your camels away from Kamayuks
ОтветитьI once tried to invade an Incan base with my 30 hussars
Never did i ever vitnessed a more gruesome massacre in any of my games.....
Mass for the win 😂❤
