great video and idea 🤩🤩
ОтветитьGreat video! Currently living in California 5 blocks from the water. Today I spent 2 hours on the freeway and seriously considering selling and retiring to Jacksonville in the next 2-3 years. I'm debating Jacksonville or going back to Peru during this next chapter in my life.
ОтветитьI was born here in Jax but have lived in DC and Baltimore and I have to laugh when people talk about the traffic and it being unsafe. Jacksonville is a fantastic city to live and work in and raise a family. All of Florida seems to cater to tourists. I'm fine without that right in my city. It's easy to have a long weekend in Orlando or Miami and enjoy going home to no chaos.
ОтветитьThanks man
ОтветитьIm in midwest came from san diego rent way more in san diego and in midwest omaha ne, eau claire wi, etc than Jacksonville...why we moving there in few months plus way more to do than midwest and i hate snow lol
ОтветитьWorst part of living there is ,it looks like a Ghetto and is Populated by Mostly Black thugs!
ОтветитьJacksonville has nothing going on at all, or you’re getting mugged. There is no in between.
Ответитьnope. take a secluded place in the woods that wont flood
ОтветитьThis video is helpful especially for those considering moving here.
ОтветитьJacksonville is a lot of small towns or communities grouped together to make one big city. As such it doesn't have a big down town where there are great restaurants and clubs. It is basically a big city with a small town feel in some ways. Nothing much going on. The beaches are largely undeveloped as well. Lots of jobs although this is the south so you can expect to make 1/3 less than NE and West coast. Homes are less expensive. Insurance is Very expensive. Even more humid in summer than South Florida. No direct hits from hurricanes but the last couple years have seen hurricanes passing very close so expect tropical storm activity in season. Easy travel to GA, LA, SC, etc. Not a lot of direct flights from Jacksonville airport. Expect to have to fly to Atlanta etc to connect to flights going most places.
ОтветитьThere are so many crack heads around me but I’m at Duval
ОтветитьThis is so great. Thanks man. Has a very kool refreshing vibe. Just subscribed
ОтветитьRaised and lived in Jax all my life. Jax housing prices have gone to crap, locals can’t afford to live or move to nice areas of Jax getting pushed out, because high tax, high cost of living, blue state voting ppl migrating here, ppl keeping their remote jobs from out of state and taking advantage of our once low cost of living and housing, and ease of starting a business…
ОтветитьJacksonville is a shithole especially downtown area.
ОтветитьI been in Jax's for a few decades😁, I was going to relocate for some other reasons🤔 But I believe I'm going to stay😏
Just remember there's no state tax income taxes
Better prior to 2010. Too many people moving in. Cost of living shooting up. The vibe of jax is being ruined. Born n raised but I'll be leaving soon
ОтветитьBro dont be telling folks about north florida. We hiding in plain sight. Im down in middleburg, clay county. North Florida is about give respect get respect
ОтветитьI lived in one of the worst parts of moncrief and never had a issue and have walked around late at night never a issue
ОтветитьMoved from Atlanta, GA to Senegal, West Africa, and now considering Jacksonville.... I think we could do it🤔
ОтветитьGreat Video
ОтветитьSafety:
East of the River => very safe
West of the River => Dice Roll
I lived in Riverside, been robbed and my neighbor was murdered. Some nice neighborhoods be a couple blocks away from the hood.
But overall, I Love Jax! Great people, great diversity and so much to do! Just stay out of Moncrief and you love it here lol
That is bogus that it is illegal to just speak the truth about a neighborhood.
Ответить“It feels like the air is sweating” is the perfect way to describe the humidity in Florida. You really have no idea how yuck hot it is until you come to Florida.
ОтветитьBro definitely asking the wrong ppl I live in Jacksonville and it’s dangerous af
ОтветитьOnly 2 black ppl? Interesting
ОтветитьI hate it here
ОтветитьShoot I’ll say also who your neighbor is 😂you can live in a bad area but have good neighbors. Then live in a over placed area with overbearing neighbors
ОтветитьWorking class city with tons of old family wealth, old and new. But the very rich here live in exclusive communities with few issues. The other parts of town still need improvements and attention.
ОтветитьI lived in jax for 16 years. I have seen everything, good and bad. We definitely have a bunch of homless and crazy people, but overall, it is not too bad.
ОтветитьWhat i don't like about Florida is the grass. I'm from Massachusetts and i used to sit on the grass and played football and baseball in the grass and the grass up there is soft and cool and the grass here is hard and of course hot
ОтветитьWe moved from Orlando in July 2023. I think Jacksonville is great!
ОтветитьCan someone tells me which area I have to avoid? ‘Cause I want to move there in a couple of years from Italy and everyone says that the downtowns are dangerous in USA and is the opposite here in Italy. So I really didn’t understand which areas are good and which areas are bad
ОтветитьI guess very expensive they might not have even CONDO. perhaps there got but probably more than 1 million bucks
ОтветитьI’ve been visiting for two weeks and the rain has been on-going since I arrived. I think i came at the height of rainy season 🥴. So please if weather throws off your mood/mental please be aware. I will say the people are kind and cost of living is doable(rent is cheap, but groceries are big city prices)
ОтветитьThey are delusional, Jacksonville is not expensive it's the most affordable of Florida's major cities.
ОтветитьProblem is, this is about people's perception and when it's negative it could be a sheltered person, a TV news watcher or the equivalent of one, or someone victimized by an isolated incident. You have to see a place for yourself and stay there long enough which is hard for most people to do.
ОтветитьWhat is the Regency area rated? Best or worst?
ОтветитьI'm a Jacksonville native plus i was in the Navy and ive been to alot of major cities and i can accurately say Jacksonville is the best city in America to live its basically a huge country family town, the weather doesn't get overbearing hot or freezing cold long in the winter ull see ppl with jackets and shorts on😂 San Diego would be my second choice and is to me the west coast sister city to jax except San Diego has more urban life and mission beach is more developed but is more expensive to live if you non military
ОтветитьJacksonville would clearly be the best place to live if everyone decided to make the city stop building so many apartments n homes and build or bring a real theme park here like a coney island or six flags...alot of ppl think Jacksonville is boring n the night life is a joke a ebor city style vibe here would be awesome too and we definitely have the land space for both!!@
ОтветитьI have been here 24 years and the cost of living is way out of control, and it's Soo boring nothing to do!!
ОтветитьWell i. Want to see how many. Mansions
Ответитьim from the hood...1200 and will say 9/10 we will not bother you its all love even in the hood be beware of that one person no one in the hood likes around...they not welcomed anywhere for good reason we good folk
ОтветитьI want to move there I recently stay with a friend and his family while he was working just to get the vibe of work and family and seem pretty good I loving it
ОтветитьNot Commonwealth Ave near Mcduff. I bought a house here in 2012....it is so not safe.
ОтветитьNope, JACKSONVILLE is not a great pace for Leah and nope JACKSONVILLE is not safe specially, when we RepublicanKratz are in charge
ОтветитьNope, JACKSONVILLE is not a great pace for Leah and nope JACKSONVILLE is not safe specially, when we RepublicanKratz are in charge!! You’re asking the wrong people get real‼️‼️
ОтветитьAnyone on here can tell me about how Tallulah North Shore is in 2024? Is it becoming gentrified?
