World Gym Legacy Video

You need to train hard, especially if you're being watched by Arnold!

As a kid, in the mid 1980's my Grandparents used to take me to the one shown here, buy some T-shirts. Got to meet Tom Platz and Joe Gold. By the front door there was a parking space "Reserved for Arnold Schwazenegger" Never got to see him though.

That was the first gym I went to; the World Gym in Venice, California.
The year was 1988, and I lived a couple of blocks from it, on Westminster Ave, really a nice place.
Saw Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno, Ralph Moeller and many others there. Joe Gold was very friendly, I have nice memories from there!

There's NO World gym in or near Santa Monica anymore. Sad. The big original is abandoned and derelict😪
