I can't say I like any of Gorbachev's socialist politics but I do think he is a moral upstanding, genuine good hearted person, who truely believes socialism as a way to help people. Unlike the globalist socialist of today, who believe in socialism because they profit from it and it is a way of controlling people and they will lie, steal and cheat because to them "The ends justify the means".
