A similar situation happened with me few year ago. A truck driver suddenly the switched lane in a slow moving traffic on a highway. Scrapped by back door. I pulled over side had some youngsters who took side with me. We confronted the driver who looked like a Bangladeshi. We argued over the issue called up his manager. I said I wont allow the driver to leave unless pays for damages. Did all the drama of calling the police and everything. Police were reluctant to come on site asked us to reach police station which was 15 km away.
I said I will wait till police comes have all the time at hand but the truck was running late and had to deliver an important cargo. Finally after two hours the manager bowed down and sent 5k through UPI. The local youth kept waiting with me in the mean time.
You pay hefty taxes to buy car, hefty toll taxes on NH or NE, GST on insurance, and in return you get flying yamraj on the roads coz of corrupt RTO

ОтветитьIgnis 100% mistake. 128 km/hr with out risk estimation over take = Self inviting Yamaraj ji. Thumb rule always follow i.e., level your car speed = the vehicle you are overtaking. Then again increase speed ad few seconds slow dowm will increase your life in years.
Bonus tip - Never trust any vehicle driver. Your Speed limit = Your Control limit.

ОтветитьEven on western peripheral, you can see the truck drivers driving in all the three lanes. It is mentioned everywhere that the slow moving vehicles drive in the left lane.
Still, nobody cares.
On NH 1, Delhi Amritsar, these truckers always block all the three lanes.

ОтветитьA truck driver first struck my Uncle's bike from behind the way when he was taking his son back home from school. He then proceeded to run(classic hit and run), but in the process ran over his arm and especially his hand. By prabhu Ram's grace the injuries were limited despite the accident being almost murderous. His hand still hasn't recovered 2 years later. The bill that was asking for accountability was thrown off. The driver ran away, will probably cause another accident, Prabhu knows if the next person would be lucky enough
Ответитьmy car driving is 80 percent highway and 20 percent city. my bike riding is 30 percent highway and 70 percent city. i have driven and ridden about 2 lakh kms in total. my observation:
if you pass 100 bikes, 90 of them would be idiots. zero rules followed and it feels like its my responsibility to keep these 90 riders safe.
if you pass 100 cars, 60 of them would be idiots.
if you pass 100 trucks/trailers, 5 would be idiots.
if you pass 100 buses, 200 OUT OF THEM WOULD BE FUKIN IDIOTS.
ALSO, why in hell would someone be driving at 120 kmph in such situations no matter which car? completely moronic. car's speed should not have been above 60-70. bhai aadha ghanta late pahunchega but atleast ZINDA pahunchega. mata pita bhai behen biwi bachhe royenge nahi baaki zindagi.

ОтветитьHappened twice with me on my return journey from Vadodara to Ahmedabad return journey, I do accept that I was little over the speed limit but the craziness of the incident is bonkers, so what happened in the first incident I was driving around at 130-135(Speed limit is 120) two trucks has occupied both cruising and overtaking lane honked and gave headlight flashes too many times but not even single one of them budged so I tried overtaking from the emergency lane(speed was reduced from 130 to probably around 75 because I waited for side to overtake behind them) as soon as I moved into emergency lane, boom another truck is PARKED THERE no breakdown no hazard sign before a safe distance just parked had to slam on the breaks to save my car, second incident happened just 40 to 45 km ahead a government Volvo bus was broken down and was parked in the emergency lane with proper hazard indications crazy thing passengers were roaming on the national expressway as they were taking a causal stroll out in their own backyard garden but they did cleared off the road as they saw any vehicle coming but the incident happened with me another government transport bus with a speed limiter set to 80 was cruising in the overtaking lane of a highway on which 120 is allowed as cruising speed so after my many failed tried of honking and flashing him into the cruising lane I decided to move to cruising lane and overtake him and just as I gestured the steering wheel towards the cruising lane suddenly he slammed on brakes conductor jumped out of the bus and tried to run over to the broken down Volvo bus to have chat with its staff. I had to slam on breaks so hard even the ABS and ESP both were on the verge of breaking down and I don't know what happened something struck the brake disk or what but it started wobbling like a brake disk vibrates after a not-so-calibrated rotor resurfacing. Had to change both brake rotors of my car, the car i was driving at that time was Honda BR-V i-dtec 2017 model

Ответитьin the last clip, that car driver was driving at Almost 130 km/hr, thats a lot of speed and barely gives anyone time to react. I am not defending anyone but i believe he was at fault.

ОтветитьMany heavy vehicle drivers don't even care to use indicators. They lack responsibility as many are just young and were taken as drivers without seeing their proficiency to safely maneuver the vehicle and were paid less as they are new drivers.
