ОтветитьYou don't know Latin?? What's wrong with you???
ОтветитьDanger noodles according to Cody.
ОтветитьAnother great video
ОтветитьSimon looks so demoralized and beaten down, I feel kinda bad for mentioning the slaughter of the German names.
ОтветитьSee crate= Beetlejuice
ОтветитьTook Latin. Pretty much sounds fine to me. OH and I love your voice, and this show is an instant click for me. I set the alarm for it!
Ответитьit would have been nice to list the parts of the world where the snakes inhabited ... so i'd know where to avoid ..
ОтветитьLie jazz scholarship kvpot ground bad shut agree addition engage outer win.
ОтветитьTry to eat sausage while watching this
ОтветитьHe attacc he do a snacc but most importantly he a snak

ОтветитьNo death adder with it's tail designed to look like a worm?
ОтветитьWhere's Kevin Durant?
Ответить...yeah, if I saw a flying snake trying to attack me... I'd run to a safe place, take up religion, and never go outside again.
ОтветитьTop 10 videos to make when you’re out of ideas
ОтветитьNo Taylor Swift? 🤔
ОтветитьAhh no Western Hognose. They are so cute, proper drama queens. 😂
ОтветитьWell I won't have a go at you, Simon, because I'm a person!
Mispronounce to your heart's content.
Its so sad to see Simon get more and more irritated with those assholes who won't just let him speak. Love you, Simon!! Feck those guys!!!
ОтветитьLove the videos and the knowledge that you Simon and your crew share with us. I do subscribe to this channel and love your presentation style, Simon. You're articulate and certainly knowledgeable about the subject matter and I enjoying it immensely. Don't be distracted by the naysayers. They sound like folks with too much time on their hands with no friends to share it with! Success draws out the haters, Simon.Keep moving on my brit cousin and more grease to your elbows!
ОтветитьSimon please do more lists like this they're facinating
ОтветитьThese snakes ARE pretty awesome!
ОтветитьThis one was too short... and not as fun.. needed more info per snake... wtf is a 5 minute top ten?
Ответитьjust like spiders: "No no no no no nope nay nada noooooo NO! NOOO!!"
ОтветитьMore animals!!! So interesting!
ОтветитьSnakes. Forever \m/ >< \m/
ОтветитьI did enjoy this video but it was waaaaay too short. Really wish you would have expanded on this quite a bit more.
ОтветитьSimon it's leviOsa, not levioSA!
ОтветитьEasy guide to Latin vowels: they're the same as Spanish & Italian.
A=ah. E=eh. I=ee. O=Oh. U=oo.
The rest of the letters are basically phonetic (they sound like they look). The only exception is "h," which generally has no sound.
Snakes...Why did it have to be snakes?
ОтветитьI'm a Latin teacher, none of the pronunciations got to me FWIW.
ОтветитьWhy was this so short? I like listening to you (mispronounced words and all).
ОтветитьLove snakes love this video thanks
ОтветитьThe limbless cousins to lizards are still lizards. Seriously, look up legless lizards. They are a thing. And they are very, very different from snakes.
Ответить#9 - All Rhabdophis species are venomous, and a few, like R. tigrinus, are medically significant. But not all are poisonous, though the ones that are are the world's only truly poisonous snake. Rhabdophis species get their poison from the toads they eat. No toads in the diet, no poison. Interestingly, the same toads that are their prey are also their predators. It's a herp-eat-herp world out there.
Ответить#7 - Cerastes cerastes and Crotalus cerastes move in similar manners. And it's mostly to gain traction on loose sand, not to avoid heat (after all, they both routinely bury themselves in said hot sand).
Ответить#6 - Elapidae IS the family. You're thinking of Hydrophiniiae, which is a SUBfamily.
ОтветитьOh wow flying snakes! That neat to watch, thanks Much Simon.
ОтветитьSome call them "nope ropes". I call them "yes necklaces".
ОтветитьGaboon vipers are interesting to me, fat and short, yet highly venomous.
ОтветитьHa-ha, you don't speak a dead language. Wait, neither do I. I did try to take Latin One twice. Never made it to Latin 2. You are totally forgiven for not knowing how to pronounce Latin names. For the record, I am typing this before the video really started.
ОтветитьSnakes could be venemous and poisonous
Ответитьwhy don't snakes have limbs ?
ОтветитьNo randy orton or Steve Austin?
ОтветитьSea Kraits are so beautiful in such a subtle way and also deadly way.
ОтветитьMr. Whistler don't give the jerks in the comments any of your time. Your videos (& all the time in effort you & everyone puts into them) are awesome & very valuable. You do your best & that's important. Latin (& many languages) are quite difficult & I want to thank you for all of your awesome videos :3
ОтветитьNooo! Not snakes! I hate snakes! 🤓
ОтветитьThe flying snake is awesome ... but odd.
ОтветитьI'm only starting to learn classical restored Latin [not ecclesiastical Latin], so I decided to test myself. Vowels & maybe some stress syllables. Those in the comments probably know ecclesiastical Latin bc otherwise they would've caught the soft C in "cerastes." Classical Latin has no soft C 🙂
