This was a awesome video. I like to see his perspective leaving comics for a few decades and coming back, is really interesting.

I liked Magik since I've been reading X-Men but this video made me realize HOW much I've not read of her haha. Awesome video!

Hi Ryan,I'm really glad you're fully recovered from food poisoning and back at 100%,also my favorite X-men character besides Wolverine,Colossus,Captain Kate Pryde the Red Queen,Nightcrawler,Cyclops,Marvel Girl,Storm,Emma Frost,Professor x,Magneto,Exodus,Cannonball(Samuel Guthrie),Sunspot(Roberto dacosta) is Magik illyana Rasputin. Who as of 2022 is not only the War Captain and member of the Captains of Krakoa,not only the Leader and captain of The New Mutants squad of Krakoa,not only Kate Pryde and Lockheed's BFF Best Friend Forever,not only is she the Youngest sister of both Colossus and Mikhall Rasputin,but also the ruler of Limbo(Other place),I been reading X-men and other Mutant comic books including New Mutants since I first started reading,also i,m probably looking forward to picking up a copy Of New Mutants(current series)#25 later this year,also I like both the paring of both Magik and Kate,and I still like both Magik and Kate every since they both join the X-men and The New Mutants,also I always like the brother and sister team and pairing of both Illyana and Pitor,it was superb,and my other favorite X-men character is Lockheed the Dragon who bonded with not only Kate,not only bonded with Magik,not only bonded with Captain Britian(Brian Braddock),not only bonded With Meghan but just about bonded and socialized with every X-men character,also thanks for sharing Ryan 👌 up the 👍 work stay healthy stay safe and have a wonderful Tuesday.☺💪

My intro to her was in the classic New Mutants. Have followed her pretty much throughout her career.

She should have man handled her opponent in X of Swords. That giant would have been nothing against her. She would have stepping discord his arm off and flipped it

So what are the thoughts? Is the current Magik the grown version of the de aged illyana? She told Colossus that she was not, but then cried. Hearing the Louise Simonson's plan for her, it really sounds like a shell, but why then the tear?

She’s my fav I can’t believe she hasn’t been used more on media outside the comics. So is so cool and important

Magik is definitely one of the most underrated X characters of all time.

I really liked her dynamic with Magneto.

I absolutely love Magik and her story has helped me process so much in my own life. She is such an underrated sorceress and what a potent story of overcoming and living with trauma, abuse, living through and finding balance with the light and dark, the parts that were taken away so young to grow and let it be a part of your story and your make-up. Her armor and her conquering and consistently battling her demons is a literal embodiment of living with PTSD and surviving abuse, how that darkness can chip away at your light but ultimately becomes something that is your a part of you and your armor and how you come to survive, and therefore is a STRENGTH. I love this character.

To my knowledge, other than Uncle Ben, Illyana is the one person who was dead the longest before they brought her back.

I love Magik. I remember seeing her art on a page in a comic book way back in the early 2000's. I was a teenager and was drawn to her goth , hardcore look and the sword. She had alot of mystery and grit. Her mutant powers, magical abilities, the dark chylde and relation to Colossus made her a standout. When I was older in my late 20's I looked up her history and fell in love even more. She is the epitome of innocence lost and overcoming childhood trauma. I wish in the comics they showed Ilyanna taking a fondness to Storm since an alternate version is who trained her in magic. I'm surprised they don't connect them more since she had a huge impact on her controlling her powers and escaping. It would be an interesting comic for Magik to teach Storm how to use the mystic arts in earth 616. She doesn't really get close to anyone besides Kitty and her brother so I think Storm would be a nice mentor for her or even the Scarlet Witch.

If Marvel want bring Magik inside MCU - my take, they must do it through Doctor Strange movie in order to properly establish her sorceress-demon from Limbo part of the character
