Nice review, Gabe! I hadn't heard of these, but was interested as I play the Cleveland CBX2 in my 52º, which is a similar design. I'm not sold on the offset, and it would take some getting used to. I don't think it was helping you in the bunker. It seems like offset would make you have to work even harder to hold the face off and not close it down, especially for someone like you since you hit a draw and your path is inside already, even on bunker shots. I see Langer's point for fairway shots and chips that the offset would encourage the hands to stay forward - only that's not where we want the hands for a bunker shot!
It depends on the sand, too, of course. I can use the CBX from fluffy/deeper sand, and the bounce and big sole are a help. But as soon as the sand is firmer or wet, I go to a bladed wedge with less bounce and a narrower sole. A bigger sole and bounce are DEFINITELY helpful with Bermuda - especially with a tight lie into the grain. You just bang down on the ball and it pops up clean - it's like cheating.
Taylormade has been doing milled grind sole since 2017
Ответитьyou know how to make your short game great?? keep your head down and hit the ball!! i have tried different wedges and guess what If i keep my head down i make great shots!!
ОтветитьMost mid-high HDCP'rs miss short which might be why they don't spin an insane amount. TEE makes a quality product slept on by many people.
ОтветитьYour set up is always 109%. Consistent. Nice little waggle and dance and …… SMUCK !! Great review !! I’m definitely going to check these out now.
ОтветитьLefties getting the SHAFT on these ? Can’t find them online ?
Ответитьis this guy sponsored ? He sounds like
ОтветитьThey are doing great clubs but the name needs an update , drop the exotics ….
Love the quality milling etc .
One word…U-GLAY! 🤢 Would never put those in my bag.
ОтветитьNice review, I switched to TE irons 6 months ago after years of playing TM & Callaway irons, and the TE are seriously the best irons I have used, they suit my swing perfectly, shot shaping is easy and distance is good. Bottom line I'm shooting lower scores and ejoying hitting them. Just might look at the wedges but I love my Cleveland wedges.
ОтветитьI just ordered the 50/12. I owned a 50/12 Callaway wedge years ago and that's the best wedge I ever had. It's very hard to find a 50/12. Thanks and Cheer's
ОтветитьUnrelated question, but how do you go about setting these types of camera shots up? Is the course closed and you have a special arrangement? Not sure how I would setup a camera on the green while I hit multiple shots from 100 yards away given how busy my local course nearly always is. The wedges look awesome!
ОтветитьI’m still playing a TEE CB4 3W and a CB Pro 19° hybrid… nothing can knock those clubs out of the bag.
I never got along with the TEE Drivers… but their wedges look pretty good.
Gabe, perfectly timed video😂😂 I’m looking for a new wedge.
Wide sole and 10+ bounce.
Just a note on your bunker technique…try taking the club head outside and then cuttings across to the left. Currently with you taking the club head inside it’s hard to get height. I’ve been there due many years. Just had as breakout this past year. Till next video. Cheers.
I read this thumbnail as “the Wedgiest Wedge!”
ОтветитьI've been playing Callaway Mack Daddy CB's but looking at some Cleveland Zipcores how do the TE's compare?
ОтветитьWhat camera and tripod do you use to record your videos? Just curious.
ОтветитьWow. Not available to purchase in the UK as far as I can see. Would be over £150 so on a par with vokey and Taylor made.
ОтветитьRight hand only 😡👎
ОтветитьInteresting wedges. The lack of bunker spin was purely technique. Open the face and cut across, swing left. You take it inside and it’s impossible from there to cut across with a cut swing…just a thought but great review as always. That draw bunker shot is great to have when you want the ball to roll out. Cheers!
ОтветитьNot sure if it’s the clubs bro. That’s skill 👌🏼
ОтветитьBought these last fall. It’s money $$$
ОтветитьNice review. I bought 3 of them thanks to your review. Seems like all reviews are glowing about Tour Edge clubs.
My only complaints are the lack of graphite shaft option and the replaceable weights are $20 each 😮
Incredible review! Loved how you showed us both wedges in the bunker instead of just one!
ОтветитьI looked back through your past videos and can’t seem to find anything on the Cleveland Smartsole Wedges. I play all 3 and find them to be easy and fun to play. Please do a review when you get a chance. Thanks.
ОтветитьI absolutely love tour edge golf clubs! Thanks.
ОтветитьAgreed. You are not a player. Wow.
ОтветитьThis looks like summerfield crossings in Riverview, FL!
Ответить🙀
ОтветитьI’m out of Patrick Air Force Base where are you playing from in Florida
ОтветитьGabe did the grind or the wide sole limit you from opening the wedge wide open for a soft shot?
Ответить$190ea up in Canada. Not crazy, but certainly not what I’d call particularly affordable either.
ОтветитьUnreal product by Tour Edge. Forged, milled sole, cavity back, weight port. Wow. The bit of offset could be very helpful in a gap wedge.
ОтветитьGreat video I want your slam dunk guarantee Very well done always nice to hole one
ОтветитьWhat model are these Tour Edge wedges, I didn’t see it mentioned.
ОтветитьI am a mid to high handicap, but I hit the Vokeys very well that I have. would be hard to change even for what is a more forgiving wedge. I have tried many but nothing works for me like a Vokey. I am a huge Tour Edge fan, I have their 3,5 and 7 woods.
ОтветитьGabe, did these have more spin than the cbx various wedges? Are you able to hit spinning chips fairly well, low and spinny?
Ответитьcope harder, it's the technique, not cutlery. ESPECIALLY ON THE LOWER END OF THE BAG
ОтветитьI didn't see you mention the bounce on these wedges. Makes me think these are just a gimmick.
ОтветитьAre they better than Vockey ? Are they 56 degrees ?
ОтветитьThank you so much for your reviews. My friends and i really appreciate your content on golf down here in Kenya. Just some feedback, the wedges you review in this clip are pretty expensive😪....We try buying our clubs off of eBay but upon reviewing your content but found that two wedges go for USD 249 (before shipping)...Upon further review, i found that PING wedges(a set of three) actually retail for much cheaper.
ОтветитьWould like to see you review the pgm one wedge
ОтветитьHave you reviewed the Takomo wedges?
ОтветитьHe y breathing, semis like he’s out of shape
ОтветитьWhat ball did you use?
ОтветитьThe toe weight theory is very wrong. Weight high up the face pushes up the centre of gravity up the face so promoting lower trajectory shots. This is explained on their web site. You may want to edit your commentary there.
ОтветитьOffset wedges are for shitty golfers
ОтветитьMan, you have got to work on your waggles. Crazy to look at.
ОтветитьI just purchased one of these SW at a discount. It's a really nice. Thanks for the recommendation!
