Basically the same thing. Stacking as much cash as possible. Buying only absolute necessities. Hoping for the best. We were aggressively paying off/down our mortgage because we have a high interest rate. Instead, we will stock pile more money in case we end up out of work or something.

Stash cash, spend on what matters to you and practice minimalism sounds like a good plan 👍

Great plan. I’m spending less for the next couple of months. Groceries here in nyc is expensive. Thanks for sharing

I couldn't have said this better!! I had 285 orders on Amazon last year. I'm trying 10 orders or fewer per month for 2025!

6 months of cash on hand, living on 25% of my monthly gross income. Prices go up, saving rate might go down a few percentage points

I’m doing the same thing. I am going thru all my rooms and either selling or giving to Kidney foundation the items. I’m saving too.

This was a great video. I did my first ever no spend month successfully. It was really hard the first week for me. But after one month, I feel great. I am really trying to pay attention to what I have not what I want. We have three teenagers and eight-year-old and grocery bill is high to do the best we can to save them. We have four cars, two adults and two drivers college tuition coming up braces just so many big ticket items. We are working on saving every penny we can.

It's incredible that he is causing so much anxiousness for so many people, imagine he thinks he can make Canada a 51st state.
The only thing he has accomplished is pushing almost 40 million Canadians to buy just Canada made items.
Even with the tariffs held for 30 days, Canadians are still saying 'only buy Canadian'.
What a fool Trump is..

I get the focus on stacking cash, but isn’t there a risk of missing out on growth opportunities by holding too much in savings?

Have you thought of decluttering and selling stuff? You can add that cash to emergency fund.

I am continuing to pile up cash (sinking funds) and stocking up the freezer and pantry shelves. My emergency fund is good but I'm also adding to it and to my retirement accounts. Stay SMART, Mary! ❤

Using the "buy 1 for now, 2 for later" grocery stockpile method...on goods we can. Oh and I asked for a promotion at work (inspired by a Fun and Budgets video, I think she asked them to consider the difference in travel to and from work)....anyways I was like here is my intent for a promotion letter with receipts LOL. Wish me luck! I should find out next week.

Absolutely right there with you… I love the “whatever’s next” fund! And I love the idea of coming back to basics. A written budget, stack cash, frugal where we can… (car and repurposing stuff for kids!) Big same here.
