Does anyone know is Porco Rosso inspired by Guido Keller? An aviator and a madman living in a weird futurist free-city of Fiume (Rijeka). Supposetly he was a pirate also and once stole a pig and loaded it onto his plane!

I thought this movie is about fully fantasy world until it mentioning some places in our world (such as Milan, US, Bengal, and Mediteranian island), Germany/Austro-Hungary fighter plane in past event, Fascist movement in Italy and even Marco said "better be a Pig rather than Fascist". And after this movie, I just realise that Italian are very inovative with mechanical and machinary of Aeroplane in early WW2

J'ai jamais accroché Porco Rosso...la gaminette qui mate une bande de pirates de l'air...ça m'a toujours semblé bizarre.
Ceci dit, "Porco Rosso" est d'avant-garde vu que la jeune fille mécanicienne élimine Gina qui représente la femme dans toute sa splendeur. D'ailleurs, c'est la jeune fille de 17 ans qui embrasse Porco et qui lui rend sa tête...pas Gina...la "vieja" qui l'attend dans son jardin comme une conne, faut le dire! Le point positif, la voix française de "Porco": Jean Reno.

Great movie. I like the dialogue is intelligent and serious. I like the attention to detail, scenery and objects in every frame.
