We walk through St. Mary's Church in Lindisfarne, also know as Holy Island, and go through the history and architecture. We explore the historical significance of the island, including the name Holy Island, it's connection to King Oswald, St. Cuthbert, and St. Aidan; as well as it's importance as a Christian and pilgrimage site along with the viking raids. We also look at various key points in the architecture of the church, including the first wooden church, Norman, Anglo-Saxon, and Early English arches. The church also holds a copy of the Lindisfarne Gospels and the sculpture The Journey.
