How would this do for a Xbox Series X?

Does the M9 have a gloss panel? It would make zero sense for it not too. But I could see Sony messing this up by throwing a Matte screen on there, that would be a dealbreaker.

This is what I'm waiting for. 4k at 27 inches with mf 96 local dimmimg zones and also for the price to have a 144hz montior at 4k this is sick!
Current gaming monitos are overpriced for what they are this is going to be a stand out for sure.

The main problem I always see Sony having is they make premium top tech products it's just the everyday consumer don't have the money or not willing to pay for that product because of the price even though it's a premium top quality product

I dunno. I'd like to know if Sony sponsored them for this video, becuase he's really stroking their ego and I'm not sure these specs warrant it. Just don't think Sony is doing anything new here. Though, it is nice to have a different monitor with HDMI 2.1 capabilities.

I will never understand the need for 4k on such a small screen. Waste of money you might as well buy an LG OLED TV at the smallest available size.

I would be happy if my salary rises the way gaming monitor prices. 899 for a gaming monitor? No problem, consumer would throw money as long as it completes the full set with PS5.

Do you notice the vertical lines all through ur video games? Its driving me nuts. Whenever there is gray background or skys in my game i see the blackish lines all down my screen everytime i move my camera.

Kudos to Sony but I would rather go with the Samsung OdysseyG7A, it’s almost identical to this monitor (144hz,4K, 1ms , IPS Panel) and it’s 300 bucks cheaper.

Purchased this monitor when it was released and am using it with my PS5 and M1 MacBook Pro. So far I’m loving it except for some parts of the HDR. I say some parts because when watching movies and gaming in HDR, I notice the local dimming (when set to high) causing the image to exhibit haloing that looks different from what I’ve seen in other Sony LED backlight displays. This only happens in a pitch black room with no bias lighting but it’s actually kinda distracting. To the point where I feel like turning local dimming to low is a better option with HDR content. I find it’s most noticeable with contrasty HDR movie scenes but when you know what to look for it’s noticeable with pretty much all HDR content. You get haloing in the form of squiggly white lines that move around frame depending where highlighted objects/subjects are in the frame. Not sure if it’s just my panel but given that the monitor has none of the screen defects people have been posting online about, I want to say I have a solid panel. Just wondering if anyone can add to this discussion. I love this monitor and if this is a normal backlight consequence on a 27 inch screen, I’m willing to put up with it. But if it’s a defect, then I feel like I should swap it out while the return window is still good. Thanks all 🤘🏼

My ROG monitor maxes out at 1000 nits. Why they only gave this one 600 is a curious thing.

Anyone else having colors look washed out when switching to 120hz SDR mode? I love the colors for 60hz SDR and when I switch to 120hz SDR it seems to change the color and make it look washed out. I am on PS5
