There used to be a beautiful forest. All the animals of the forest lived a very happy life. Golu the elephant also lived in the same forest.....but he lived isolated from everyone.....because half of his face was burnt in an accident....everyone used to tease him by calling him an ugly elephant.

Golu - Friends, I will also play hide and seek with you.

Meenu the fox - No, you cannot play...because no one will search for you...what if the one searching for you dies after seeing your face...haahhahah.

Chinku the deer - Yes Meenu, you are right...if this happens, all the friends will leave the game and run away, only the ugly Golu will be left...hihihah.

Golu returned after listening to them....a few days later, there was a Shravan fair in the forest. All the animals were enjoying the fair a lot. There was a buzz of the fair all around. Golu also wanted to go to the fair, but he knew that if he went to the fair, he would become a laughing stock for everyone. That is why he sat down sadly, but then he thought of a solution. He quickly collected some makeup items and got ready by applying lots of powder and cream on his face. He was very happy to see himself in the mirror. And when the other animals in the fair saw Golu, they were also surprised. Chinku Deer - Hey, friends, look at this, what kind of a miracle has happened... the ugly looking Golu has suddenly become a smooth, shining Golu. Rabbit - waaaaahhhhhh...he looks like a hero. Fox - Yes, you are right brother...this Golu looks like a hero. Golu also started saying in a fit of rage.

Golu - Ha....now I am not the same Golu as before....now I have become handsome....now I can become your friend.

All together - Ha....ha....you can become our friend.

In this way....Golu mingled with the other animals.....and started enjoying the fair...Golu was engrossed in his fun....then suddenly it started raining....and due to getting wet all the cream of Golu got washed off. And then what happened....Golu the elephant's secret was out....all the animals looking at Golu started laughing loudly.

Seeing this Golu became very sad and returned from the fair with a heavy heart...seeing him sad the mother elephant asked

Mother - what happened son....why are you so sad!!??

So Golu told the whole incident and started saying...
Golu - Mother...I am very ugly, right mother...I am not worthy of becoming anyone's friend...I am of no use.

Mother elephant - No son...nothing is useless in this nature...everyone has their own importance...you are also important...you are also worthy of friendship and love...but before expecting love and friendship from others...you will have to learn to love yourself...

Golu is very impressed by his mother's words...and he accepts this...due to which his self-confidence gradually starts increasing.

Days were passing like this...when one day a huge fire broke out in the forest. Due to which there was chaos in the entire forest. Everyone was running here and there to save their lives. Golu also came out of the fire with his mother and reached a safe place...but still many animals were trapped in the fire. Fox - My child is stuck in the fire...someone help me!

Deer - Oh God...help me...my family is in the fire.

Everyone was pleading for help for their family members...but no one was able to muster the courage to go near the fire...then Golu jumped into the blazing fire without caring for his life...and rescued all the animals one by one.

Chintu Deer - Golu, please forgive us...we never behaved well with you...always insulted you...but still you saved our lives...today I have understood that...true friendship is made from the heart, not by the face.

And everyone started praising Golu's heroic feat.
