ОтветитьTake a step back… way back. Look at the big pic. We have one generation too many living on the planet. We are living longer and much more expensively. Many thousands of homes that should’ve been vacated already are still occupied. Prices rise. Gov knows this, hence MAID. Covid 1.0 helped, Covid 2.0 will succeed.
ОтветитьEverything is becoming unreasonable. Food, bills, rent/mortage... We are on the brink of a collapse unless you make alot of money. The foreign student crisis is adding to our shortages as well. Not against others coming here (my family immigrated here in 1990) but now it's a transient policy
ОтветитьThe UofT graduate probably student gender and race theory. And is now realizing there's no market for it.
ОтветитьAll of this is so sad. I do blame out government Doug Ford and Justin Trudeau. Mortgages are going into default. I said 3 years ago it's so sad soon it's going to be families on the street and here we are. Then you have landlords that are already getting over 1200 a month and are trying to evict you so they can get more or you have landlords who are charging some tenants 12 to 1400 a month while others pay $800 and get to make everybody's life a living hell. Oh wait that's my reality
ОтветитьMy wife and I were going to build an ARU (Additional Residential Unit, ie tiny house) but with the mess called the Landlord and Tenant board I said F' that noise. This year my property taxes went up $1200 and if I had of built the ARU (alone a $250k investment) i was looking at a huge addtional property tax increase. There's absolutly zero incentive for investors and landlords to invest in housing.
ОтветитьNo tenant sob story could convince me to be a landlord in Ontario. I’m not saying that this particular tenant’s story isn’t true, but grifting tenants will tell any tall tale they can think of to live rent free. And the losses squatters generate will ALWAYS fall on paying tenants.
ОтветитьStay POSITIVE.
Canada Governments = are SUCK, WEAK, CORRUPTION = GREED $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I just cant with people with acab crap...they have a job too
ОтветитьShe needs to start packing up all that junk everywhere and get prepared!!!! It's coming despite accepting it or not
ОтветитьInvestigate Philip Pick realty
ОтветитьPhilip Pick is responsible for over 75% of the false pretense evictions in Kensington market over the last ten years. Reach out to me.
ОтветитьThere wouldn't be a housing crisis if the government wasn't bringing in record numbers of foreigners
ОтветитьThere isn’t a housing crisis …there are enough places around to live…it’s the cost of living that makes things crazy difficult.
ОтветитьIf your not willing to build anything yourself, you dont get to complain. Just saying. Get out of your stinky cities.
ОтветитьOnly one in ten students in Canada have access to post-secondary residence beds.
As it stands, an estimated 1.2 million students are renting in communities outside of institutions and increasing rental prices for all Canadians, according to a Desjardins report published Tuesday.
“As the demand for higher education continues to grow, the availability of affordable and adequate student housing has not kept pace. This disparity poses significant challenges not only for students but also for the broader community,” reads the report.
The federal government recently implemented a two-year cap on international student permits following rampant fraud dating back to 2018, which is expected to reduce the approved permits by 35% from 2023.
In 1992/93, 1,355,451 students were enrolled in post-secondary institutions across the country, according to Statistics Canada. By 2021/22, the total number of students had increased 62% to 2,196,468
many politicians have extensive investments in the extremely lucrative real estate market. controlling prices and providing housing for the poor would reduce the amount of money they can make from the real estate market and politicians will never, ever do anything that negatively affects their own personal wealth, so this problem will guaranteeably continue to grow and get worse.
ОтветитьWatching this while going through an eviction lol 🥲
