The mobilization tours have so far covered Abim, Soroti, Kamuli, and several parts of eastern Uganda. The National Unity Platform's (NUP) ongoing nationwide mobilization tours, however, have once again been suspended by the police on the grounds that the party has broken previously established rules. The decision by the police to stop the NUP's mobilization tours exacerbates the already existing conflict between Uganda's security forces and opposition groups.
