Please everyone....get rid of your physical media....so I can buy it all cheap!
ОтветитьYou do not look well. Are you OK ?
ОтветитьUmmm, No. Not a good thing. You own nothing. You will have no collection to pass along. Your digital media is non-transferable, when you die all your stuff is vapor. This guy is clearly confused as to what is ownership and what is a long term rental. His "five reasons" are all short sighted and lazy arguments. "I don't have to get off my lazy butt" is exactly why people don't own things as it is.
ОтветитьNo it's not a good thing lol. It means pay to play and pay to watch everything. It means we don't own anything. We give companies more control and let them dictate what we have access to. It also means preservation will be lost. A company goes under all their media will be lost forever.
Ответить🤣🤣🤣 Streaming equals lower quality, all the argument needed. This video seems so obviously targeted and suspiciously promoted as well by this website. C'mon, try harder.

ОтветитьWe have already seen good old liberal Hollywood edit and censor movies on streaming platforms. This will only get worse and don't be surprised when they actually start banning movies.
ОтветитьHow can you say is a good thing? digital media can`t never replicate the video or sound quality of physical media. NEVER!
ОтветитьWhat kind of clown take is this? 😂😂
ОтветитьNope. I like my BD's and DVD's. They are mine. They belong to me and they can't be taken away. A practice that streaming services don't agree with.
ОтветитьIt´s BS. Now it´s the best era for the collectors. It´s exploding. My collection is growing like crazy.
ОтветитьYou'll own nothing and be happy
ОтветитьVinyl records r physical media & they're growing
ОтветитьYou have heard the Lefts Cry of "You Will Own Nothing, and be Happy". Well the this is just one more indication of their attempt to further their control over another aspect of your life.
ОтветитьPhysical media will always be important.
ОтветитьDigital Media is the ultimate disposable Media!
ОтветитьIt's a good thing we will lose all the stuff we bought... like movies from sony.....
ОтветитьThere is nothing great than physical media, no matters the popularity of streaming. Physical media must be not only preserved but must be on continuous production. I love vhs, dvds, books, video games cartridges, etc. I do not consume Spotify or Netflix (they are very limited and in many cases biased) and smartphone games suck!. With physical media I know what I choose to consume, stream media manipulates the consumer. I still sell tapes, cdrs and fanzines of my works.
ОтветитьWrong. Without a hard copy you cannot buy, only rent. That means you pay, pay, and pay again. Worse, they owners can change your the product without your knowledge or consent.
ОтветитьThe Sony Playstation/Discovery content fiasco is about a week older than this video, so this video began aging like spoiled milk before it was even born--pretty impressive 😆
ОтветитьCan't tell if this clown is completely clueless or just a shill for the streamers. Either way, physical media is so much better than streaming.
ОтветитьWhen you buy a movie on disc, you have rights afforded by the purchase. When you subscribe to a streaming service, you have privilege's afforded by the streaming service. What streaming companies have proven is that they can take and give at their pleasure and that they will.
ОтветитьIn the Summer of 2023, Spectrum and Disney went to war over ESPN licensing fees. For 12 days, ALL Disney-owned stations were gone. Spectrum made a deal for Disney + in exchange for EIGHT Disney-owned channels "that nobody watches." Just like that, FXX, Disney XD and FX Movies were gone from Spectrum...forever. I did watch FXX content, such as "Bob's Burgers," and "Futurama." Disney XD broadcast "no longer in production" Disney TV shows, such as "Gravity Falls." I had looked at "Amphibia" and "The Owl House," but "Gravity Falls" was more my speed. A visit to Amazon got me a Collector's Edition of "Gravity Falls," which I can watch when I want to, even with the disappearance of Disney XD. This wasn't a "streaming video" channel that made me buy a DVD set, but the cable TV system that I subscribe to. As for "Disney +" on Spectrum, that hasn't happened...yet. Looking over Disney's sub-par movie and TV lineup, I'd rather have FXX, FX Movies, and Disney XD, instead.
ОтветитьIn terms of the music industry, the decline of physical media needs to be answered by independent musicians being paid a reasonable amount by the greedy streaming services.
ОтветитьThe best part of owning nothing is when someone decides that something you've seen or heard online is bad they can remove it without you ever worrying about it.
ОтветитьOne word… PlayStation (in the last two weeks.) not a good change.
ОтветитьF digital! They can stick their woke garbage where the sun don't shine 😂
ОтветитьEat shit!
ОтветитьThis is such a midwit video.
ОтветитьThe death of physical media means the rise of censorship, which is already happening, look at what happened to The French Connection or the banned It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episodes.
ОтветитьI think there is happy medium between physical and Digital. There is convenience and better prices on digital versions of movies on platforms like ITunes and Google play but for “ controversial “ classics like Blazing Saddles and The French Connection,it’s better to have a physical copy.
ОтветитьYeh anything that makes us more dependent on our phones and tablets is great.
ОтветитьPhysical media will die once everyone in the world has fast internet. It'll take decades for that to happen
ОтветитьDid u hear about PlayStation no refunds and some lost of media lost
ОтветитьFirst of all, it’s not dead. Second of all, that would absolutely not be a good thing. I don’t know about you but I’m not giving up all my DVDs and VHS so I can sit and wait a whole week for something to download or to stop buffering. Fuck that bullshit. To think, the biggest complaint for me back then was sitting through unskipable logos and fbi warnings on dvd. How things have vastly improved. Except not really.
ОтветитьIf you have a cheap Tv and have a passing interest in movies, streaming is for you.
If you care about picture and sound quality, have a passion for movies and want to own a copy of a movie from your childhood that you simply can’t find on streaming and want the best sounding picture and sound with the highest bitrate, 4k discs are the way to go.
Many of my physical media collection you simply can’t get on streaming platforms and those you can come and go. A lot of the time, you can buy a superior standard Blu ray for the same price or less of buying the online version from prime.
That’s before we even get onto the special features and packaging.
Bro you completely lost me when you whent into the environment bull. I think you have some good points but tell all the people who had their movie libraries on their Playstations. I enjoy both physical and digital but it's abundantly clear we can't fully trust these digital platforms, if you are OK with the risk, spend your money.
ОтветитьIf you can touch it, you can own it. Physical media forever
ОтветитьNah...I'll stick with my physical media. I'd rather not let a streaming service dictate when I can and cannot watch or listen to something.
ОтветитьYou're forgetting 1 thing... "Availability". I'm in Denmark and a big fan of Hong Kong Action... If it wasn't for "Physical Media" I wouldn't have much in ways of watching that. There's no real streaming service I can watch here that has alot of that content so yea... While there are "some" good reasons for streaming, I and clearly almost everybody else in the comments can think of way more for Physical Media so as much as it's a good "Clickbate" title... Saying "That's a good thing" is a pretty stupid thing to say in my mind. I'll forever champion Physical Media, but there's plenty of room for both.
ОтветитьFirst of all, the physical media is not dying and it will never die. Secondly, it's just plain stupid to say that would be a good thing. Obviously, you have no idea how many boutique labels are out there, releasing a good amount of titles every year. And they're doing just fine. Which means there is still a healthy and steady market for physical media. Also, almost every major studio titles are released on physical media. There are more and more collectors willing to pay serious money for the limited releases and that will also keep the physical media alive and well. I understand the convenience of streaming, I really do. And probably most of the casual viewers don't need more than that. But it's the same casual viewer who will cause the decline of streaming (which is already happening, btw). Many will get bored of searching for something to see, through hundreds and thousand of titles. The content quality is already very low, it's just more and more content for the sake of it. People are not all that stupid and many will stop consuming every garbage that's thrown at them. Just wait and see. In the end, there is a place for everybody, just try not to piss on physical media because you prefer digital streaming or whatever.
Ответитьwrong but congrats on not knowing what the fuck you're talking about i guess
Ответить142:24 dis:likes
you're welcome
I can never find the movies I want to watch on streaming. If it's on streaming , I don't mind watching it there. But if I'm gonna buy it, I want a physical copy.
ОтветитьDon’t you blaspheme in here! You best slide on down to the Triple Rock and check out Reverend Cleophus and understand in the world of media that physical media is God my son.
ОтветитьPhysical is better. You don't have to worry about
increased prices every year, ruining your vision
or getting arthritis in your hands searching for
your favorites. Nobody talks about that.
When the Wi fi goes down you can still watch
Ответитьwe can not use the internet if cable and cimena doesn't die
ОтветитьI bought a hard copy blu ray last year while I was away from home and the only player I had access to was a ps3. Due to DRM I was unable to play this physical media until I updated my ps3 (which was something I was unable to do at the time). Needless to say, that disc at that time was as good as a coaster. People buying physical are unaware of the DRM on this media and how this can be leveraged to take “your movie” away from you. There’s nothing stopping sony pushing a firmware update on your player rendering all your media unplayable.
