Now, I'd probably tell you that you're out of your mind with this list, but hey!, to each his own, and if these are the ones that you like the most, good for you! I'm actually glad that the late 80's and early 90's are getting some kind of love when it comes to GI Joe.
I think that my No 1 figure would be Zartan: amazing color-change gimmick, transparent armor pieces, a backpack with a mask PLUS a color-changing vehicule that could be disassembled! It was a deluxe figure for sure, but what a BLAST it was!

Beachhead, Croc Master, Footloose (he was my first one I got)

Storm Shadow was a cool figure but that white plastic yellows

what are your thoughts about Gnawgahyde?

A Ryan by himself you can get for $40 and up. It with the vehicle complete then yup $100 and up

The only thing real bad about the ninja force is that you can’t change out the o ring. So I think that was one of the main reasons I got pissed off about how they started making GIJoes that way and just stopped collecting and then went into ninja turtles. lol 😂 and it’s like when they changed the scale of 3 3/4 just killed the line when they change its to 5 inch and now they are six inch. Most collectors collected 3 3/4 scale. The majority collect 3 3/4 scale and if they made Star Wars o ring figures I would collect those in the 3 3/4 scale

My top 3 are Hooded Cobra Commander, Destro, Iron Grenadier version with gold head and red cape,and The crimson guard trooper. Honorable mentions will go to the twins the Baroness and the 90s Duke in the desert camo. When I was a kid I never had Dusty but I loved the way he looked and I was a huge fan of Zartan but never had him either.

I grew up with 80s Joe's I'm now 51 and I got to say I out grew those 80s Joe's for classified series better detail better actuation I rather buy retro classified Cobra Commander for 25 dollars vs an 80s Cobra Commander 80

I first started with Joe went my mom got me the series 1 vamp vehicle with clucher my favorite Joe vehicle hours of endless fun

Your Snake Eyes I have him his my personal favorite only second the one of the black silver look with the knifes in the chest

I’ve started to collect Gi joe back in 2000 when I found the USS flagg for 30$ in a garage sale there was only one figure Shipwreck
I decided to hunt for the missing parts and other figures.
My goal was to collect figures and vehicles from 82-87 era plus I decided to collect the vehicles that I really like.
So far I have 130 figures and 45 vehicles some doubles like skystrikers nightraven rattler or smaller vehicles like flight pod and claw.

When I was young back in the 80’s I had 4 figures that I still have today

So many good figures, characters, vehicles. Favorite was Hydro Viper. Otherwise I like too many!

1st Joe was Flash the Laser trooper - Original Snake eyes - original Stormshadow and Hit and Run

My faves include Techno Viper, Captain Grid-Iron and the Toxo Viper.

I started back in 1982 with the original straight/non-swiveling arm figures. I'm pretty sure my first figure was the mortar soldier Short Fuse.
My Top 3 RAH Figures:
1. Flint-My favorite Joe, the team's third-in-command with his cool beret and shitgun
2. Alley Viper-Cobra's urban assault troops. Cool armor and hardware, even if their bright orange outfits weren't very good camouflage.
3. Night Viper-Cobra's stealth ops with gun-on-leg weapon storage and a night sight monocular.

Awesome list Ed, great variety! I love that everyone has a different GI Joe top 10 for different and nostalgic reasons.

I started collecting Joes around 84. My first figures were Flash. Rock and Roll, and Zap. My favorites however were Tunnel Rat, Shipwreck, and Road Pig (top three order). All for a variety of reasons (mostly sentimental to how things were played with).

Great picks! My top 3 are Zartan, Serpentor, and Storm Shadow...but the "good guy" version of him. He had the best accessories, and I love that he switched his allegiance and fought for the Joes, in a very cool costume.

I remember around 1994 getting Street fighter II and mortal Kombat figures . Around the same time GI Joe started bringing out figures with big backpacks with voice and sound which made them top heavy .

As a child I totally wrecked my gi joes, really regretting that now

i don't know anything about gi joe but i really like sgt slaughter , hooded cobra commander and the color shanging storm shadow ! the streetfighter and mortal kombat figures are sick aswel the guile was the first jcvd figure i could get my hands on when i was a kid❤

Cool List. My First Joe, that i had around 86 were the BAT Trooper, Snakeeyes with Timber and the Snowviper, love that figures.

My top three: Dr Mindbender v1, Toxo Zombie Eco Warrior, and Deep Six Eco Warrior. Honorable mentions for Destro v4 and star brigade Heavy Duty.
