Imagine a world without bicycles! But, believe it or not, they've been around for over 200 years. The first bicycle, called the "Draisine," was invented by Karl von Drais in 1817. It had no pedals, and riders pushed with their feet! In the 1860s, pedals were added, creating the "Velocipede." The famous "Penny-Farthing" followed, with its giant front wheel. But it wasn't until the 1880s that the safety bicycle was born, with equal-sized wheels and chain-driven gears. Fast-forward to the 20th century, and we saw innovations like derailleur gears, aluminum frames, and disc brakes. Today, we have electric bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, and more! From vintage to modern designs, bicycles have come a long way.
