If we want to ignore that, this is all assuming Edward IV was the only illegitimate monarch in the line which seems unlikely. Disappointingly (because it's a ripping yarn) I find fault in your initial premise regarding the timing of a pregnancy. A pregnancy is taken to be 40 weeks, plus or minus at least 2 weeks. The starting date is taken from the first day of the last menstrual period which is usually 2 weeks before ovulation and conception occurs. So if Richard IV's father was absent for 5 weeks and your starting date to count the 40 weeks falls in the middle of those 5 weeks, then he would have returned home right around the time ovulation and conception would or could have occurred.
