I love this video; I've watched it quite a few times.

How much does the putty expand compared to the quicklime? 2x or so?

Do you always use the same size of quicklime? I've seen it available (about an hour away) in everything from rice size to small nuggets to larger nuggets to larger stones. Is there any reason to use larger size instead of always going with the finer grind, assuming it's been kept away from the air? I guess the finer size has more surface area to spoil from atmospheric contact, but it seems it would react more fully.
