tbh, i used to hate ye-seo when i first watched this 3 years ago but rewatching sky castle helped me see her in a different perspective. i realized that she too is a victim of their crooked educational system and toxic generational trauma. she was never evil. arrogant yes, but her actions are only the result of her upbringing. in fact, she had one of the best character developments in the whole story. people are right when they said that you can only understand a person when you started going through what they’ve experienced. as a college student, ye-seo’s struggles speaks so much to me than when i first watched this kdrama. while seeing her in a different lens now, i began to root for her all throughout.

ps. i can now also see why people seemed to ship her with woojoo. they really have undeniable chemistry.

Tbh i think that here hye na played with u-ju's feeling whereas yeseo might be rude girl or whatever but she really cared abt him she loved him for real

Honestly i never wanted them together he's so kind , gentle and she's a rude bitch i hate her character soo much

I came here to see if this ship had moments together cuz yes I ship them, but instead I ended up crying 😭

The way so many ppl hate on Yeseo’s character confuses me. Like I can’t recall what she did so wrong? If we compare her to a character like Ha Eunbyeol from ‘The Penthouse’ they both have similarities but unlike Eunbyeol, Yeseo never did anything extreme. She might have acted like a brat at times and also fought and acted rudely at times towards hyena but tbh that’s expected. I mean this is a thriller and suspense Kdrama, yeseo grew up in an environment that always emphasized the importance of being number one and always being one of the best. So obviously she isn’t going to be all buddy buddy with heyna who was her rival, also it wasn’t just yeseo creating problems between the two but heyna also instigated and provoked yeseo many times during throughout the show. Heyna is a pitiful character but just bc she has a sad past doesn’t mean she’s a complete angel that’s never done wrong. Both Yeseo and Heyna acted immaturely towards each other as times, it wasn’t all yeseo like many ppl make it out to seem. This might be an unpopular opinion but imo Yeseo was the best character in the drama, she was just such an intriguing and interesting character to watch, plus all she ever did was work diligently to get into the school she wanted. She worked so hard from the age of 4 only to not get into her dream school in the end. I pity Kang Yeseo a lot, she spend all of her adolescence preparing to get into Seoul National University, she had a lot of drive and ambition but even that wasn’t enough in the end. Yeseo had her bratty moments that’s for sure, but overall in my opinion she has many admirable traits, she isn’t this evil girl like some ppl make her out to seem, she did what was expected of her as well as what the standards she set for herself were.

As being a fantasy first I am so so so jealous of hye Yoon secondly I would ship chani and hyr Yoon instead of rowoon and hye Yoon
