Thanks, Gary. Great information, as always. Take care.
ОтветитьA very useful and informative video tutorial today! Thank you, Gary!👏🏻❤️
ОтветитьThank you Gary. I would like to request a tutorial on how to find the F19 key if possible 😀
ОтветитьThanks, Gary. I set up hot corner to bring it up.
ОтветитьThank you. I use notifications, but you have greatly expanded my knowledge for additional customization.
ОтветитьAwesome! Thanks!
ОтветитьSo many little things about these Apple products that I'd never know about.... many thanks
ОтветитьI dont use them because theyre hidden, and i cant be bothered moving my mouse up the screen to unhide when i could just use safari or another app i have open or displayed in the dock
ОтветитьI personally often use Widgets. I have there: a large reminder, calendar, screen time (to view how many hours I’ve worked today), and finally, whether at a medium size.
ОтветитьVery cool!
ОтветитьYour videos are so useful & straightforwards to follow. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьThat was great, thank you.
ОтветитьThis is a GREAT idea. It drives me nuts that the clock in the menu bar is so small. I can do just what you suggest -- the analog clock and the calendar. Very good. Thnaks.
ОтветитьI used to love widget when I was using Windows and Android. But after completely moving to Apple ecosystem, I hate widgets. I want all my devices look clean and minimal.
ОтветитьOne other thing I've found it useful for is adding a clock for any friends or colleagues overseas, to display their current time without trying to do the conversion. One for London, and another for Prague, for instance. I can instantly check their time and know if it's an appropriate time to call. Love the other recommendations here. Gary always seems to figure out ways to use these features that I'd never even considered.
ОтветитьYour videos are so good, thank very - very much
ОтветитьThis is very good, Gary. Not long ago I was wondering how to manage those widgets ... and, voila, you've answered it and shown how simple and effective this tool is. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьThanks bunched
Ответитьcan you please show us how to use screen mirorring on the macbooks?
thanks for help!
Bravo 👏🏽 the features you showed here are all amazing and everything here was news to me. I had no idea the notifications could be customized in such a manner. I just took the time to customize these myself and now I don't have to be frustrated by the notifications because I always felt like I was not using them to the maximum ability. Thank you!
ОтветитьThese are awesome tips! Thank you! I could not find news widget, or "N" to add it to my - how can i do it?
ОтветитьGood one Gary. But is there a way to add a Google Calendar widget?
ОтветитьI used mine. I've got running time, date, calendar, EUR-USD, delivery tracker, photo, weather of three cities, and Screen Time.
I came from the older macs, and I prefer the ones before that pulls up the full screen with calculator, tons of sticky notes etc.
The least they can do is have more widgets for us to download.. And also, allow keyboard to access (which yes you can) but not move around in it.
Great advice, Gary. Especially about the shortcut
ОтветитьThanks again Gary for another insight into Mac! Envious that you have a News widget. Not available in my area. Is there a way to add it or similar?
ОтветитьSo many dev hours spent on some useless features
ОтветитьI've always liked Mac widgets. I find them more useful than similar apps for Windows, which are a real mess. Windows just throws everything and the kitchen sink at its users and consistently dissapoints. Apple is very thoughtful about the user experience and is a much more considerate company. I've met so many in enterprise, from a friend who ran her own biotech company in Boston to high flying Hollywood agents who prefer Macs in a working environment because of the ease of use, the rock-solid stability, and the workflow which comes from an efficient operating system paired with compatibility. It's much easier to find Apple peripherals than it is to find them for Windows.
ОтветитьNever really used the widgets, always considered as a waste of time ! However, after watching this vid, I may use it more. I have set two weather widgets, both medium, one works ok, the other one just shows me how much rain we are going to get in the next hour. Can I bin that and get a normal forecast for the next few hours ? Like the other location I have set. I have tried it as "My location" and by typing in where I am.
ОтветитьYet again, a complete, and essential, eye-opener! I had never found the Notifications area terribly useful on my Macs, but the highly-specialised version I just created after your inspiration will really smooth out my day. Many, and sincere, thanks, as always.
ОтветитьThe keyboard shortcut f19 is perfect for me to start using this. Thanks.
ОтветитьAgain a simple, quick and useful tutorial. I've never used the widget thingy but after watching your tutorial I've customized and will be using this all the time! Awesome!
ОтветитьThat was very handy, I barely used it but now I set it different and it works, great thank you!
ОтветитьI am hoping that at WWDC Apple announces desktop widgets for their next OS X operating system. For me, current widgets are useless. They are out of the way and forgotten. If I could place widgets all over my desktop, it would be far more useful. Keep up the great work, Gary.
ОтветитьGary for president!
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьThanks - you've motivated me to set up and use Notification Center more wisely!
ОтветитьThis proud subscriber can't get enough. Or obviously hasn't had enough, not when you can shine a little light like this one. Thanks Gary.
Ответитьello;
Sorry if I look clumsy, but I never did it, how do you do to dial "f19", if the keyboard only goes up to "f12" or at least mine. Thanks Gary. A cordial greeting and my congratulations for these magnificent totorales, I'm learning a lot and especially mac functions that I did not know until now.
Widgets are useless if I have to go and get them every time. I need a widget to STAY on my desktop.
