If you are a paying leaf fan don’t act like a lunatic by throwing jerseys and other items on the ice. Give up your seat and move on. Leafs looked bad in a few games this series. They did push the reigning cup champs to 7. Let's see how other teams fare against the panthers. TB got beat in 5. Carolina is down 1-0. I started watching the leafs after an amazing year of watching marner on the London knights matthews and mitch have been amazing to watch in the regular season but when it comes down to push and shove they disappear neither player has the drive or passion to lead a team, to pick a team up and carry the team on their shoulders which is very unfortunate but can't give mitch a raise he is not worth what he makes now with his playoff preformanceses. This entire fiasco is when Shanahan interfered with Dubas as GM and both Shanahan and Dubas were WAY TOO HASTY with max amount contracts with Matthews, Marner and Nylander. A proper GM does not handout a full NMC to ANY PLAYER OR GOALIE like candy. This has always proven to come back and bit a franchise in the ass year after year. If there is a full NMC to a player / goalie, then it is because that person is a FRANCHISE person. The only one !! Everyone elser $6 million and under has no protection, while everyone above $6 million can submit a 10 team trade route. This is not complicated to run a hockey team and should not be as bad as it is. MSLE only cares for profit margins but not actually building a wining team nor a Dynasty team. In the same breath, Shanahan is the weakest link and needs to go from management. 3rdly, from all the coaches that have been around for the core 4, it is not their fault. They had what they had to work with, and year after year it failed. Marner is not built for playoff success ( at the least in a Leafs uniform) the team needs to be more transparent about injuries ( especially with Matthews). And if you look at this team as a whole, sure on paper it looks good, but the dynastic vibe is not there. There are at the least 6 if not 7 players on this team that should not be there as they do not have the chemistry to produce in huge moments or in playoff hockey in general. This brings frustration to the rest of the team, including the goalies, as they can only bail you out so many times. I would love to see Wendal Clark become the boss and turn this team around into a dynasty. Guts and grit wins and NOT figure skating and fear.

Quite a dramatic take to suggest Marner hasn't given the Leafs "anything" after they've given him everything? Geez. One of the perennial top scorers on the team and even league, possibly our best player this year and much of that on defensive end/PK. Marner was 2nd on the leafs point production in the 2025 playoffs, and on par with the leading Panthers point getters, 6th in points across the league. Matthews tied for 11th with 8 other guys, the next leaf is at 31, Pacioretty, how about going after the rest of the team scorers, who only put up half what he did. That's what fans should be pissed about as well as pissed at management. Took the Oilers 12 years to figure out drafting the same player for 8 years in row doesn't get you a well rounded out team.

Attacking players in person is not the way to go. A lot of other players have it a tad easier as they don't live in Toronto all year and get the off season elsewhere - Marner doesn't get that option. Marner is a great player, just doesn't seem to be a finals player for the Leafs. For his own mental health leaving is probably a good option.

The leafs know they played shitty during the playoffs, so getting hate from the fans should be no surprise. In games 5/7, the leafs looked like a group of sitting ducks, getting out played and out scored, they showed no hustle, they honestly played like they didn’t want to be there.

Why the heat on Marner? He at least showed some emotion during game 7. Not saying he had a great game but he was at least trying. Mathew’s on the other hand looked like he would rather be anywhere else on earth than playing the game. Mathew’s is just as big a no show as any player on the team and he’s supposed to be the captain.
