Look at the insurance claims. Tesla had started to fail because China has just released their latest EV which makes Musk's cars look ancient. They go longer distance and can be recharged in 5 minutes taking less time than filling a fuel car.
Other countries are also far ahead of Tesla.
The demonstrations have been helpful to Musk because he doesn't have to tell the truth about his bad business.
