If youcut your scraps into 2 and a half inch squares , and join a couple of them for leaders and Enders , you can easily make fore patches to use in another quilt with no effort on no time ... Eg Irish chain or disappearing fore patch .

Thanks for your tutorial, Stephanie. I find if I start my chain piecing with a fabric scrap, the feed dogs won't pull on the first piecing pair of my real quilt and possibly spoil one of my smaller HST units. Also, for pressing tiny blocks for mini-quilts, the Clover Mini-iron works perfectly, and saves your fingertips from burning!
