I had to watch this for a uni module and the level of emotion I felt was unnerving it was extremely uncomfortable to watch and see the audience laugh

Was incredibly disturbing. Finding out about this if I was Chris would make me mad. Imagine seeing a room of hundreds of strangers just making your life even worse and destroying your belongings. I don't think a brand new TV and letter could make up for it, even if the last part was staged it still makes it so uncomfortable.

Wonderful,,,,,,it easily shows a number of scenarios that ultimately leads one way as it was designed carefully leading to an end mostly where time would be what kinda works in a show setting when it must fit into its slot,,,,now in the real world such things would be OK where it does not bother some as the choice has already been determined to what has been where good / bad are the subject,,,,to put another into a situation that leads towards what they are not aware of ignorance is the answer to the unknowing,,,,now,for a group to know would be a misleading type of event where the group really does not care anyhow ,,,some may say this earns respect,,,,I would agree perhaps if I were easily convinced,,,peer pressures,,,insecure on what I would be unable make a proper decision,,,,,,and I may also have many more scenarios such as a group doing such not by honor or respect ,,,rather to secure a false truth to what would be seem from others ,,,,manipulation and agenda being the anterior motive ...

Everyone in these comments are so quick to judge, but are you sure you wouldn't do the same thing? As darren said in the end, everyone does these things when made anonymous.

Also, I believe theres alot more we can look at here than just the anonymity aspect. For example, could the gameshow presentation of the show have added another layer of separation and further reduced the audience's empathy for chris? Is there a chance the audience was expecting chris to be compensated somehow after the show?

The audience only showed concern when chris got hit by the car which was framed as being "unintended." If Darren had chosen to treat the situation as comical uninportant, as he had in all of the previous examples, would the audience have continued to have even less empathy?

The show ends,....and thankfully,... No applause from the audience, because now they know how easily it is to be persuaded to behave Like a "right prick" as the brits would say.
