i think rushing a lot of ap on akali is even better , i mean you go shadow flame first item , you have a build path with a lot of ap and once you have your item the power spike is insane , it also work really great on kennen

i understand for singed it can be great , but most of the time on akali the only thing you want is damage fast so you can snowball and get even more item. I tried on a dummie with 50res , akali level 11, nothing that increase damages in the runes ,Q damage : 3cursed mask (passive stacked) + pen boots (5k gold) : 232dmgs , Shadow flame + boots + 2amplifying tome (5k1gold) : 248dmg on full hp (6% more ) and 297 dmg when the target has less than 40% hp (28% more dmg) . Notice that with 3 cursed mask you get 118.95% more damage instead of 118% so its not multiplicative it works but its still deals 6% to 28% less dmg than a shadow flame rush build that is cheaper to build , without having to sell one mask because you wont build blackfire torch on akali . I understand that having 600hp bonus is huge in theory but in practice you have enough hp if you play with overgrowth + doran shield because you have enough things to keep you alive in the champ kit so it might be better to build for early game damages to snowball on it and then buy something with hp like a protobelt or a liandry in second item

The real question is "Which Akali build doesn't work?"

I thought guise didn't stack itself? Since it has the same name as another guise passive, you can only get one?

That's how it works with Phage, why BC can stack with Tri and Stride, because BC has "Fervor", Stridebreaker had "Temper", TriForce has "Quicken" and Phage itself has "Rage". Before shop rework they all had the "Rage" passive so even if you had Tri and BC you'd still only get 20 movespeed while now you can get 40 if you have both


Same thing with spellblade effects in past seasons. Lich Bane, TriForce, IBG, Sheen, ER, Divine Sunderer and now Bloodsong all have the "Spellblade" passive but only one of the effects is active (it's hard coded now so you can only buy one spellblade at a time now though).

Haunting Guise is no different - Guise has "Madness", Liandry has "Suffering" and Riftmaker has "Void Corruption".

EDIT: Stride no longer has the Temper passive

that shouldn't work actually because the passives have the same name. Only if you complete the item the passives have different names and so it's cumulative. I think it doesn't work but it's an easy test

Akali paid 3900g for 400 health, 60AP and an almost 20% damage amp. Doesn't sound too worth tbh, I feel like paying less and getting a lich bane or something would do more than that

used to build triple bf on draven 120ad for 3600g mot bad if you can snowball

i checked this in practice tool and no. its additive. its a 18% total increase.
