So I Ranked EVERY Bioware Game (Ultimate Bioware Games Tier List)

To me ME2 really is Biowares most over rated game. I played ME1 when it came out but I had no clue what I was doing and never completed it until ME2 launched. I remember playing ME2 so much that one of the disks stopped working. I played through on every class on insanity and went through every romance option. I really do love the game. With that being said I find the story overall to be far weaker and in general just an unnecessary side story. I get there was narrative push in it but it felt very minimal between ME1 and ME3. And I think it just comes down to the fact out of the 27 missions or so 19 of them are either recruiting or doing loyalty stuff. And I get that recruiting the new/old characters and gaining their loyalties is a driving reason why many people love the game but to me it's just to much team building. It feels like the same issue ME1 had, with there being roughly 7 main story missions with nearly 30 or so side quests. It's honestly why I love ME3 so much, most of the missions are continuing to push the narrative of the main story rather than branching off.

In the end I love ME2, especially with the fact that it builds up the terminus system and allows us to see more of the in game universe but I do feel that it is drastically overhyped.

Personally in order of worst to best I'd go ME2, ME1 and ME3(all MELE).

I mostly agree with you, but to call inquisition an s tier game is just wrong. so very wrong.

Some are clunky by today’s standards but they still have that old school charm.. This style is kind of a different mindset.. I’m a relative noob as far as the dev as I haven’t really finished anything yet but I totally get it.. It’s more or less like classic D & D.. Mass Effect being classic D & D for Star Trek fans!?

ME3 was the best. Only time I put it at the bottom is that stupid idea i had to do renegade and I lost Tali😢😢.

literally platinumed mass effect 1 like yesterday, its good but s tier is a stretch. The gameplay clunky asf and story is pretty good by the end but the padding of those mako missions and grinding took the mik. If you give ME 1 a 10/10, that tells me that your biased asf ngl. Don't trust the rest of your choices, played me2 today for like 10 mins and its much better already gameplay wise. I could see that being great but lets see.

Inquisition is in his best B. Even DA 2 is better.

mass effect really captivated me in its writing, but there were gameplay moments where I was like "what the hell were they thinking?" as a story, Mass Effect is triple S but as a game it's kind of Meh. For example the lore about the particle guns you get in game is very interesting, but it feels like you're shooting a very noisy water gun with a lot of recoil. Also the Mako sections. I will never step foot inside this bouncy castle on wheels ever again. Also the fucking 'fetch' quests that only pay off two games later. Fuck you Salarian ID tags, I will defeat the Reapers without you.

I absolutely love whole Mass Effect trilogy. First is a great entrance into ME universe and main storyline, also Virmir mission was a hudge punch.
ME 2 was a wild ride with amazing characters and all, but during that game I realised that it won't be just some action trilogy with aliens, space travel and romance - story became more serious. And damn, suicide mission...I was stressed so much that I spend at least half an hour just to pick the squad for first part. My hands were shaking and sweating all the way to the end of that mission.
And than ME 3 came...that game is an emotional ride. It was the first game that ever made me cry. Story got harder and harder to take and when companions started to die (especially Thane for me) I needed breaks to calm down 😂 Again I spended at least 30 minutes on choosing my ending and of course, I cried like a baby. These games also helped me a lot with my emotional crysis so I would put them all on A tier.
Dragon Age was amazing too, especially Origins (with that bitchy Alistair that I ALWAYS romance, even after he dumped me because "king"). Yes, I hate combat system in O but story kept me going. Inquisition was the weakest in my opinion but Solas is such an interesting character (yes, romanced that asshole too) and I can't wait for next game.

So basically what I've gleamed from this is that Bioware hasn't made a game that has been well received in a decade. And you people are excited for Mass Effect 4? Lol

Mass Effect 3 was C tier for me because of the ending and requiring multiplayer for galactic readiness (I hate multiplayer games). However I just finished the Legacy Edition version and it was much better.

I quite liked Andromeda, i played it in 2020 and frankly the gameplay blew my mind, the story was decent and characters were lacking, although there were some good ones. Mostly tho the gameplay was insanely good and made me want to play it to the end.

The biggest flaw Me Andromeda had was imo bad characters, shit Voice acting and Zesty ass Krogans.

Inquisition that high above so many bangers is just instant disqualification, sorry

I never agreed that the ending was bad. They could have been more visually distinct sure, but what they actually represented was very interesting to me.

I respect your opinions but I still think DA 2 and Inquisition aren't that great, they'd get a B tier at best from me.
Jade Empire is underrated but it's also understandable why it was overlooked. The game's overall design doesn't hold up that well. The good thing about it is it's more exotic setting.
Neverwiner Night's campaign is probably the most forgetable story that BioWare ever made, so I don't blame you for not getting into it. NWN is mostly played for the community content.
If you treat SWTOR as a single player game you can probably have more fun with it because the class stories can be pretty interesting. SWTOR was designed to work as a single player game too.

The copaganda is strong. With Mass Effect 3, it's not just the ending. The Plot of Mass Effect 3 makes the least amount of sense. Mass Effect 1 has the best RPG and story beats, Mass Effect 3 has the worst. ME3 has better combat and graphics but that's about all it does better than the other two games. Hell, the voice acting in ME3 is even the worst. Dont' be fooled people, people don't just rag on ME3 because of the ending, that's a lie.

Thank you so much for giving Inquisition the love it deserves. Even though I wouldn't rank ME above DA but that's because I'm not a big fan of Sci-Fi. I'm so sick of how some hardcore DAO fans constantly hate on how different DAI is.

As someone who is a more single player gamer who played all the classes stories on SWTOR I will suggest you do give at least the main stories game and revan dlc missions a go in SWTOR after the revan story it started going downhill storywise but the main classes story was really great. Only 1 was poor being sith warrior all 7 others are really good. You should definately give the main classes story playthroughs a go Dan

I agree that ME:3 is very underrated. I agree that the actual ending disappointingly doesn't take full advantage of your choices and all kind of ends similarly.. but.. overall that game's overarching sense of impending doom, melancholy and finality, and the ideas that it makes you ponder about over it's long satisfying run time always stuck with me. It's one of the darkest and most brooding finales to a space opera/sci fi epic ever, and it has a ton of payoff as far as relationships and word building goes. Also the reaper invasion is genuinely a terrifying and awe inducing thing to behold and some of the scenes the game depicts are like a form of bleak, brutal poetry

Mass Effect has the best overall mainline story plot in the entire trilogy,from start to finish as well as a badass and menacing reaper aka sovereign (i am looking at you harbringer) as well as best villain aka Saren. Mass effect 2 is the G.O.A.T in other aspects except main story despite its flaws.Mass effect 3 further improves it BUT THE ENDING OVERSHADOWS ALL (not all choices in ME 2 had an effect/consequence in ME 3 like side mission choices).ME 2 and ME 3 needs a remake in terms of main line story but i doubt it will ever happen.Inquisition sucks in main story and villain,not to mention other under cooked mechanics,plots etc.Mass Effect Andromeda is the G.O.A.T when it comes to memes,perfection in combat and class as well as skills and subclass customization but sucks at everything else.Anthem dethrones Andromeda in terms of game launch disaster but andromeda outlives it as its DEAD.

My hot take is that DA2 is better than DA inquisition. Reason for that is the painful forced grinding part. Before inquisition you could go where you wanted and the enemies would level with you. This goes for both Origins and 2 (Origins did it better though). The very much open world often feels to big to me and thus a great part of the game is running from A to B (especially when playing the game a new).

I'm happy you put ME3 as first S game, although I don't agree with your choices of Baldurs Gate, I came late to those and was already spoiled, however I did play NWN which I really liked. By the time I tried Baldurs Gate, it was too old for my taste.
Same, I first played the Witcher 3 and after that I bought 1 and 2, which both were horrible for me.

If Mass Effect 3 had released with the extended ending they put out a few months later, it would be considered the greatest ARPG of all time to this day.

Dragon age origins is a great game hands down. But Mass Effect 2 has Miranda Lawson and if you mod it. She can become a powerhouse. In Mass Effect 3 their is only a few scenes with Miranda without a mod for her into the game to use on missions. Also the suicide mission alone is great. So my point is Mass Effect 2 is the true Goat ME3 is not. Also that combat with the new Ninja Assassin sucks balls at the Asari Temple. Oh i do play all 4 games on Nightmare.

To me Inquisition was horrible. Lots of fetch quests, unlikeble protagonist, some of the most annoying companions and a cringe story. It feels like Dragon Age went Andromeda to me. I would rate Andromeda above Inquisition.

Sad that you didnt play Neverwinter. One if my favorite games. You get a larger party if you keep playing and I loved to play other people games.

I also rate Mass Effect one as the best game from Bioware due to the amazing world building.
