Too bad this is so old. I just watched 7 seasons, it was pretty good. However, one thing they presented was a lie. When it was said "This isn't Ellis Island where they let anyone in" is pure bullshit. Both my Maternal and Paternal Grandparents came through Ellis Island. They didn't "just let anyone in" by a long shot. First of all, you had to have a Sponsor to take of you while you got on your feet so didn't need Gov't help. Second, if you were sick when you arrived, you were SENT BACK. Third, 99% of the immigrants never took a DIME from the Gov't., it was a matter of PRIDE. I did notice this series was tainted by the good old Liberal bleeding heart B.S. Got news for you, if you don't want to go to jail, don't be a criminal.

My girl suggested we watch this show and I couldn’t even finish the 1st episode.. I told her that it seems like a girl show and there is nothing almost nothing interesting for me in it.
It’s a bit strange and I feel like sexist cuz I’ve watched lots of movies about jail with Stalone and Martin Lawrance but I feel like this is bit too much drama and it feels like it’s more for female audience.
Sexist or not I don’t wanna watch it..
I like shows like Peaky Blinders, The Gentlemen, Westworld, Travelers, 1889 so maybe it makes sense that this show doesn’t fit my taste..

Jason Big...is a fail for me from now on. He has always played idiot roles. He will be one in real life. This role in this series doesn't fit at all. Better a film with children and apples. Summer is coming to plant a pear tree. This role really shows who he is

I come from Germany and spent 10 years and 7 months in many prisons in Germany. It was harder than in this series. I was in a psychiatric hospital for 48 months of that. Horror is no longer an expression. But with tears I say it was so cruel endless...I can't think of words to describe how bad this is. My name is Reiner Elias and I was in prison for 10 years and 7 months.

Great human backstories. Clearly a LGBTQ agenda to normalize the lifestyle. Finally gave up watching the show by the third season. Too much "woke" new world preaching in the writing. Gay this , gay that. As humans we are more then who we sleep with. We are our friends, family, and experiences we have lived! A few shows with a the LBGTQ scene is fine. But nearly every show, please? The worst is blaiming society and the government for being in jail for killing, selling drugs, and robbing banks. No matter what or who you sleep with, personal responsibility is important in life. Straight, gay, or however a person identifies.
