Kyiv Jewish Forum 2020 is now over.
One of its main results is that the forum has become truly global. The pandemic has not stopped its speakers and participants from getting together and discussing the issues of concern to Jews around the world. And thanks to the online format, the audience and geography of the forum have significantly expanded.
Two evenings of intense discussions and outstanding speeches. 45 speakers from Ukraine, Israel, USA, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Poland, Moldova, RF. 16 panels, which were attended by representatives of parliaments and governments, religious leaders, diplomats, public, cultural and scientific figures. The presidents of Ukraine and Israel, Volodymyr Zelensky and Reuven Rivlin, the Alternate Prime Minister of Israel Benny Gantz addressed the forum participants.
All forum speakers, as well as numerous participants noted in their comments the importance of such a platform for discussions, as KJF has become. Discussion plays a significant role in Jewish life. Traditionally, it allows students to argue with teachers in a respectful manner and by common efforts to come to a balanced decision on any, even the most difficult issues.
