How lovely, Ganesha, lovely. Thank you : )

ОтветитьI absolutely love how you move through this world. Seeing beauty in the natural things, appreciating the slow ways of life, being in the present, curating beautiful items that have been previously loved. Enjoying life as it is and as it was and showing us what you love. Thank you for your beautiful videos and for sharing your beautiful soul. I wish you health, happiness and peace.
ОтветитьI know it is not about owning. You can enjoy something without having to own it……..but I can’t shake the feeling that I would like to own a couple of those lovely pots you are making. Lol 🪴❤️🪴
ОтветитьLove the way the materials speak to you. Enjoy
ОтветитьRavij,
You truly live life beautifully and I love your videos.
You are so right when you state that we should not want to own these things. The reason is that our Creator God who made this universe owns it all and has placed us in this little spot to enjoy everything which He created .
I want to take you a step further when you show us the little image which YOU made. I want you to ponder deeply upon these verses from God's Word. He states: "But he also fashions a god and worships it; he makes an idol and bows down to it; ........ He prays to it and says, "Save me; you are my god."
They know nothing,
they understand nothing;
their eyes are plastered over and they cannot see, and their minds closed so they cannot understand.'.......God says..." I AM THE LORD AND THERE IS NO OTHER; APART FROM ME THERE IS NO GOD"
Scripture verses from ISAIAH CHP 44 vs 12 - 28 and CHP 45 Vs 5.
So I share this with much love towards you, because what it boils down to is that when you believe in an image which you created with your own hands, you are placing yourself beneath that image.
God wants you to know that you are far more valuable than that and if you get to know Him, The One and Only True God, He will lift your spirit and you will soar as high as an eagle.
Do not limit yourself to anything lesser.
Please get hold of a Bible and have a read. You will be very blessed.
God says to you,
" For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you Hope and a Future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray TO ME, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, " declares the Lord ......
Jeremiah 29 Vs 11 - 14
Should you want to know more please private message me. I'd love to chat.❤
Jesus said YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN. .. NT: Gospel of John Chp 3 V 3
Your barn is truly magical. I think I better sort out my studio and do an inventory of any offending and superfluous plastic! thanks for such a wonderful barn tour.
ОтветитьCan someone please tell me the name of the Carter Family song Rajiv sings in this video.
ОтветитьCan you imagine going camping with him? Never be a dull moment it’ll be like going camping with MacGyver.😀

ОтветитьRajiv, thanks, simplicity is beautiful and you are so clever to share your beauty.

I thought I would ask you if I could purchase a pot made by you. But when I saw the Ganesha, I thought, "that's it!". I have been searching for a red Ganesha for over a month. If you could make me one, would gladly Buy it. Blessings and love from Florida...

Spot on Rajeev when you talked about owning! LOVE!!
ОтветитьThank you, Rajiv, for sharing this magical place❤️👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьMaybe Pottery Barn got i'ts name here.
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful video! Thank you.
ОтветитьYou are the most interesting human. I love your esthetic.
ОтветитьHello Rajiv,
Did you ever try to extract the lanolin from the wool while at pioneer village? I’ve been investigating this lately and would love to hear if you have any experience with lanolin!
Rajiv, you and your videos inspire feelings of joy and ballast … pure and simple joys is what enriches our life.
ОтветитьAlways feel a bit more wiser and at peace after spending a while in your beautiful spaces ❤
ОтветитьHi Rajiv,I have been following your blog for a while now. I'm a studio potter from India. Love your varied interests! Would love to talk to you about pottery.
ОтветитьMy mother was a potter and she also used metal and melamine trays for everything. I enjoy seeing your set up as it reminds me of her.
ОтветитьWhat a beautifully serene creative space you’ve manifested! I had no idea you were so talented and interested in pottery. I have my equipment in my garage and you are inspiring me to create a similarly peaceful environment so that I may finally be motivated to fire my kiln for the first time! Wishing you many blessings and boundless creativity, Rajiv! ❤
ОтветитьDear Rajiv, I am a pretty new viewer to your videos from Oxfordshire, UK. You cover so many aspects of subjects I love. My background (now 80) was in art and design. I was a technical illustrator for many years and moved on to interiors, books, paintings etc. I would just like to say how beautifully refreshing it is to watch you and the diversity of you subject interest. Thank you, I will continue to watch. Dave.
ОтветитьI really needed to hear that about ‘owning’. I get hung up on that a lot in my rented apartment. It is a waste of time. I appreciate you setting me straight about that. ❤
ОтветитьI love this! White buckets are the only plastic I have in my pottery space. Wooden and metal tools only.
Ответитьbeautiful xo
ОтветитьThe sound of the spinning wheel - comforting, mesmerizing, calming. Thank you.
ОтветитьYour friend Eve is awesome to let you stay here !
ОтветитьThis is such a wonderful video and now I want a barn too. THANK YOU for sharing this!
ОтветитьMy pottery studio is in an old chicken coop 🐓. The entire south wall is windows so I get lots of light. Unfortunately, I share this space with mice in the winter. Not many, we do control them as much as possible but it’s an old, drafty building. I have to use Rubbermaid totes to keep the critters out. I agree plastic is not beautiful unless you consider functionality as adding to the appeal.
ОтветитьBeautiful Barn Ragiv ❤cheers from Downunder
ОтветитьThis was beautiful ❤
ОтветитьLove watching him. So relaxing.
ОтветитьAlthough I don't say "warsh" my mother does. Funny, she's the only one in the family that does.
ОтветитьI’m with ya on the plastic Rajiv! It’s difficult to eliminate it altogether…even baskets are plastic these days 😖
But I do the best I can. It really makes a difference in the feel of a home to have “real” materials.
As for the “owning” or not, I do believe “ownership” often goes hand in hand with something being cared for, unfortunately. What do people say? “Why should I care? It’s not mine”. How sad. So many old things are being lost because there is no value placed on it except monetary. Thank you for trying to change that and bringing a different perspective.
My pottery barn is much different.
Ответитьyou are such a talented human beeing :)
ОтветитьSo agree on owning. I worked for decades to own a home. 30 years, no travel, sometimes working two jobs. Though I'm terribly grateful to have a home when so many need shelter, I think being a renter would have been ok too. Finding your happy place need not dependent upon title. Make every place you land beautiful!
ОтветитьGreetings from So. Calif Rajiv, I just came across your wonderful videos… As I sit here in a one hundred and two year old home, knitting my own hand spun fiber, and sipping matcha from my very own hand thrown ceramic Chawan. I can only express the immense joy and gratitude I feel for this way of life- It is golden. May you continue with your joy of life and creativity.
ОтветитьI love chant!! I immediately stopped the video to grab the name of your fav chant album. I can’t wait to listen to it! Are you Catholic? I remember seeing your statue of St Terese in your kitchen. Catholicism is wrapped in beauty and truth.
ОтветитьThank you. Beautiful space to share, appreciate and feel.
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьHi Rajiv, I'm a new subbie from Nova Scotia and I spin, knit, and dabble in watercolour. I have 2 antique Saxony wheels that spin beautiful yarn. I also love spinning on a drop spindle. It is a joyous hobby!
