Just wanted to let you know, nano-texture was also available from the 2009 MacBook Pro, not just the 2017 iMac
ОтветитьSo, should I just go for the M4 Pro instead of the base M4 because it will be better for future Apple Intelligence features with its chip and additional RAM? I’m not sure if 16 GB of RAM will be enough in the next few years?

It's worth the upgrade for 400$? I'm going to use it for photo editing, office work and a bit of 3D works.
I preferred the word Chip instead of processor, especially for Apple Silicon.
ОтветитьI don't know if anyone can potentially help me with this: I am still going back and forth between nano texture or standard display. On the one hand, it does look good (better than I thought) when seeing it in person in the Apple Store. I also did noticed that the colors did look slightly off when watching videos (not a deal breaker). On the other hand, my primary concern is can it potentially be scratched more easily compared to the stander display, especially if a crumb gets stuck on the keyboard and moves around a little bit when say rotated in a backpack. Even the Apple Store employees didn't really help me with this question. I am more confused than ever.
ОтветитьI was able to grab a brand new 14" M1 Pro 10c CPU / 16c GPU, 16gb / 1TB for $1526 CAD ($1100 USD) back in June. I think I can live with this for many more years, no matter how tempting the new ones might be.
Ответитьturns out apple ISNT tweeking the display with software. they upgraded to screen to quantum dot display technology.
ОтветитьWhat should be the ssd config for coding and video editing?
ОтветитьBought a brand new m2 pro 16gb for 1399 cooked or nah? 3 months ago
ОтветитьI still think the M4 Pro MBP 14-inch (14-core) is worth upgrading from the M1 Pro 14-inch or earlier Intel versions. The CPU performance is amazing!
The real question is should someone upgrade from the M1 Max? The M1 Max was so optimized, the difference in GPU use is minor for newer iteration. Also, the money spent on the M1 Max would make someone hesitant to upgrade if an employer is not paying for it.
Thanks for this review! Were you showing the M4 pro base model or the one with the 14/20 GPU? I’m thinking of getting the second option with 48 gigs ram to terabyte storage for video editing. I’m wondering if you think the Nana texture is worth it though? I heard that it could possibly wear after a year or two given it being on thin screen, And mentioning that it was wearing on the edges of the iPad made me wonder if it’s good long term. Are there any matte screen covers you recommend to have both options? ☺️🙏🏼 thanks! New sub here!
Ответитьthe problem with video rendering is the encoder not the chip .. so in the end for better video editing they push you to to buy the max even the base model it's enough but it's better overall
ОтветитьThis is going to sound so little but, your DaVinci Resolve has a colourful boarder around it and mine is white, how do I get rid of the white? It's unaesthetic to look at lmao
ОтветитьWhat if we have an M3 pro ? Should we upgrade v
Ответитьwhat if you can get an m3 pro for 1290 USD ?it
ОтветитьI’m still not sure whether the M4 Pro with 24 GB, the M4 with 32 GB or the M3 Pro with 36 GB makes the most sense for me. There are all about the same price. Most important for me is:
- multitasking (several browser tabs, adobe acrobat with several pdf’s, Word, PowerPoint, Lightroom etc.)
- photo editing and some video editing (in the near future not the most heavy video editing, but don’t know how it will develop)
- the laptop should last at least 5 years, preferably even 7-8 years
Maybe someone could share their thoughts. Thanks!
