I have a fridgedare top freezer fridge and the fridge section stop cooling what could be the issue

Seems like a great frig for the garage.

As you often preach, bells and whistles increase the chances of failure, and expensive failure.

I was happy to watch your videos, but when I click your fridge links for Frigidaire, I get a lot of unhappy customers, for whom this refrigerator quit working after a short time, and qho couldn't get customer service from either Lowe's or Frigidaire!

@Bensappliancesandjunk Have you done a video on upright freezers or the fridge/freezer flexible types? I scanned your list and didn't see it... but my eyes are bad.

Ain't no reason you couldn't place two of these side by side and have bouque storage or backup for when one side may blow a relay every twenty years.

Do you have a video trouble shooting this refrigerator? I'm just outside the warranty and the freezer has become very very slow to freeze things and it seems to be getting worse

Nice. I have a simple Amana, huge freezer on top. It was like 700 dollars, had for three years with no problems so far. I watched some of your earlier videos before buying my appliances and can't agree more - simple is better. If I want an ice maker, I'll buy a countertop one and cold water comes out fine in a Brita pitcher. Great video!

My old hunting buddy makes some pretty decent coin by refurbishing older appliances as they are snapped up by folk living in rural areas and bush camps where power surging and or outages are common. Some clients often requiring the use Generators either exclusively or on emergency and they pay good prices ,sometimes close to what new ones cost.

We had a granny lodge, all the appliances were older too, except the forced air furnace, and it blew the main board twice because of power grid outages and surges. So I agree 100% that the older units are far more forgiving and robust..
Even our Rec property has W/D, F,S, and chest freezers.. none are newer than 1981, they came with.. we even have a couple of Maytag tub washers complete with wringer/mangles.for my mining and drilling gear, all run off gensets and investors from battery.

We bought our first house wich came with 1960s appliances including oil heat.. used them all until 1998, then replaced with Maytags.. aside from the dishwasher recalls, not a problem.. we sold it 5yrs ago to our Nieghbour's son, he still uses them.
Our new house was kitted out with Samsung, every single piece has been repaired at least once and some twice in 5yrs..
Retired now from Construction ,remodeling and demolition business, I know for sure I wouldn't be bulldozing appliances anymore... they are in demand.

Thx for the review, Ben! I very much dislike my french door frigidaire, bc the narrow column style storage sinks. So I am considering to replace it. Looking at this one, I like glass shelves way better than wire and also that little drawer is nice. The door thickness on this looks pretty thin compared to the same GE style. In considering top freezer units- for older ppl trying to get to the lower frig items- I might hold onto the door for stability and have issues with the hinges. Why is a bottom freezer not better since heat rises & cold descends? Are there more complicated components with bottom freezers in general? Happy Thanksgiving!

How quiet is this fridge compared to other fridges that are considered to be fairly quiet? I value a long lasting and simple fridge but i also value noise.

I just bought one of these last week to replace a 20 year old whirlpool that quit.

I just found that my floor isn't level, and the new fridge doesn't appear to have a means of leveling it.

Had it my basement in my townhouse in Gaithersburg Maryland. Got it on a holiday sale with shop your way rewards for $460 it's a 20 cubic foot refrigerator freezer top mount.

Own a 32 year own fridge that still works nicely.

during covid my fridge broke down and i was very limited to what was available at the time . only fridge in stock was a cheap frigidaire like the one in the video for abot 600-700 and it works better then the 2k fridge i had before with bottom freezer and french doors .

I have had a Maytag branded fridge of almost identical design for about ten years now. Zero problems, easy to clean. It may not be sexy, but it’s great.

The title is an incredibly stupid question--why would I waste my time on this video? I think you'd have to be very stupid to buy a refrigerator with a computer in it. Doesn't need it, and it only makes it more liable to break down. So again, why would I spend time watching this?

I have a 14 year old similar Whirlpool, basic 2 door refrigerator that I bought for $200ish. It has performed flawlessly over the years. It has always been in the hot and cold in the garage and keeps on chugging along.

Simplicity is beautiful. I don't need any Bluetooth "smart" circuit board infested BS in my fridge. Just give me a setup from the 90's, slap a newer-looking outer shell on it and I'm sold.

I have a GE frig similar to this though maybe a little smaller. No ice maker no water dispenser. It works fine but I’m 71 years old so might be better if freezer was on bottom. Is there a negative to this. Also my fridge is pretty noisy.

There is absolutely no reason to have a computer in your fridge. It just makes it more expensive and less reliable. It actually makes me angry that there are household appliances that have computers in them. Even some toasters have internet connection now. It's insane.

As a British person I have to say, this fridge is fucking MASSIVE and I'm jealous 🤣🤣
