No, the ownership sucks and I’m sure the Cowgirls will be a more attractive place to coach, despite their owner also being bad. Bigger fan base in Dallas and more eyes on that team.

There is only one way this will be the best job opening. Poles gets to pick his head coach with zero interference from Kevin Warren and especially George McCaskey. At this point coaches around the league know what's up, just like Dan Quinn did the last time. They're not fooling anybody, so be transparent and honest. Don't insult the intelligence of coaches around the league and let your football people make the football decisions.

The only contender to be a top spot to go would be the Bengals. If they fire their coach, people will definitely love to team up with Burrow and Chase.

You have to factor one thing if a high quality, leader of men coach wants to come here-ownership. At the end of the day, the Flus debacle was on George & Ted. Poles didn't want anything to do with Flus, but George told him otherwise.

The organization chart for the Bears is all screwed up as well. In a normal football organization, there is someone in charge of the business side of things, and there is someone in charge of the football operations. Kevin Warren is in charge of both??

Hold up, wait a minute, something is not right.

Being a Chicago transplant living in Jacksonville, I can 100% say you hit the nail on the head about it being boring. Haha. Gotta go like 45 minutes away at least to go to St. Augustine if you want to find a good time.

This is not even close to the best HC job in the NFL because nothing has changed as far as the Bears SENIOR management Poles Warren and any Mc Casky you want to mention. It took Poles 2 years to fire Flues he has done NOTHING to upgrade the O line he missed twice on the OC and now Warren starts gas lighting about an exhaustive search for a leader of men and putting together ANOTHER search committee this is the same group who hired Flues at 15-30. A leader of Men sounds like Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman. Quote I wasn’t always blind there was a time I could see

I just saw Kap on ESPN1000 where he blasted the Bears dysfunctional organization on the football side. Now here he does a 180 and says this is the best available job this hiring cycle. Kap doesn't even listen to what he's saying. He just likes to talk.

Look, I know people are complaining about the ownership and how the McCaskeys might screw this up considering it’s only going to be Warren and poles finding the coach maybe let’s take this as a good thing but let’s keep our hopes a little low with George McCasky not being involved that gives the bears a wide margin of searching and hope

I wish I could say it's the best job available. I'm your age and I've been a Bears fan since I was seven years old and my parents bought me a Gale Sayers uniform. The replicas you could get back in the day. Equipped with a helmet with zero padding. It was beautiful. The all whites. I agree the city of Chicago, Caleb Williams, the fan base, media exposure are all the best in the NFL. If the Bears actually won in Chicago it's instantly a national sensation. The reason I can't say it's the best job is because the fans have to trust Kevin Warren, Ryan Poles, and George McCaskey. Kevin Warren just told the fans on Monday 'It's day one' What? The Bears were supposed to win this year. Ryan Poles looks tired and lost right now. We all know George McCaskey's resume. I just cannot look at the situation at Halas Hall and trust that the best coach available is going to say, 'okay I'm in.' I hope I'm wrong!! I love the Bears as much as you love the Cubs. The entire fan base is desperate to win. My question is, and it makes me a little sad, does this organization know how to win?

This is not the best head coaching opportunity for three reasons. The ownership, Kevin Warren and Ryan Poles. Poles had his hands tied by ownership when he was trying to fire Eberflus. Now Warren has neutered Poles authority by taking over the coaching search. There is no way the right person for this job will take it without having more decision making ability. The best person for the job is Belichick. Period. He won’t consider it because of the management structure.

On paper in terms of roster, star QB on rookie deal, draft capital, cap space, fanbase & city it’s far and away the best job available. In reality, the big elephant in the room that could potentially squander all of it is ownership.

I agree that this job is by far and away the best available gig but only if you take away the ownership and management. When you factor all that in, it doesn’t look so rosy. As a longtime Bears fan, I’m praying they get it right but history tells me otherwise. I wish I wasn’t so preconditioned to think negatively. They have ruined me over the years. 🤦‍♂️

The “best” situation for a rookie QB. The “best” coaching opportunity in the league. The “best” fans in football. Let’s stop with the superlatives. The bears haven’t been even “good” in over a half decade. We’re the laughingstock of the league. A coach coming here has to deal with the organization as a whole. It’s not as simple as “having a good roster”.
