Well I hope he makes this clear, before he gets serious with any woman. That way he won't be too hurt when she dumps him. A lot of people don't even have landlines anymore. No phone means no contact. Maybe you have a landline at your home, so if you need to call there, she can pick up. And I guess if she's not at home, she can stop at a business as ask to use their phone. But then you'd have to always pick the phone up, no matter the number, because it might be your wife trying to call you.

I guess the real idea is that she stays at your house all the time, so why does she need a phone?

A very reasonable demand, imo. After all, what abu$€r would want his hostage/victim to be able to disrupt his enjoyment by calling for help? OR, even worse, be able to access the internet and see that there are many, many far better men out there?

Having a phone is a protected right in my state. It was ruled that one of the rights impoverished must be supplied is a phone or landline for emergency purposes. This allows the individuals to access emergency services, pay bills, etc.

I've recently qualified for medi-cal, and the first service to come to my door (it arrived before my cards did) was a smart phone for this reason and purpose. It allows access to telehealth, public health service interviews, access to emergency services, aids job search, etc.

This guy is saying that he doesn't want his wife to be able to call for assistance in an emergency... effectively being able to escape him.

Evidently in another part of his video he said his wife could have a phone that is not connected to the internet, but what I heard in the clip you sampled caused me to go right to "cut her off from communicating with anyone else." That is not a marriage, that is captivity. But you did mention that else where in his video he "would allow" a phone not connected to the internet. That is something that I hear parents discuss about allowing their elementary school age and "tweenage" children to have. What he wants is a parent - child relationship with his sex partner. So he wants to cosplay being a pedophile?

As someone who chooses to not own a mobile phone, I can see where this is a valid condition. People are addicted to their phones; they miss the entirety of the real world around them, as they bury their heads in their phones. I was in Africa some months ago. And folks were more obsessed with taking selfies than with observing the amazing life around them.

So the guy being made an example here might not be “looking for a victim”. He might simply be seeking a sane woman, one who is grounded in reality instead of being lost in her phone.

It's stitched with a video of a woman pointing out that females have been settling since they were little girls and some boy just hauled off and hit them then everybody told her he actually liked her. It goes on to point out how much men want out of a relationship (cooking and cleaning and making babies and never acting like an other man ever existed) while dudes have little to offer other than skid marks and a paycheck that's never enough and is probably less than what she makes. Then I saw a video of an older lady who often gets in her comments that she's lonely. She had to explain that women are alone for a reason like Bey said. Women would rather not than put up with the trauma coming from men. And then there's dudes like this trying to out man other men by how much he plans to abuse any woman. It's no wonder he's making videos by himself in his car.

They don't want women. They want to use women to stroke their egos. They think they're entitled to access to women just because they're male. Women are an interest, a hobby. But women are expected to put themselves fully aside for these dudes because that's what they think the gender norms grant them. "She can't have a phone" Yeah, and there are also cultures who think women can't leave the house without a male escort and their face and hair should always be covered because that's for her husband. Women are disembodied just so dudes have something to brag about to other dudes. Women are deprived of life and purpose because of some dudes underdeveloped and insecurities.
